    Language issue with XBOX360 game


    I have bought final fantasy XIII Lightning return from xbox.com. The game showed that it supports japanese, korea and chinese. My console is set as HKSAR with Chinese, however, it does not display Chinese after auto download, it just displays japanese!!!
    There is no options for language change within game. After changing console language to English in United States, it still does not help!!!

    So can anyone help to change back to Chinese or English?

  2. Mass Effect 3 voice over lines in French!

    I've recently bought Mass Effect 3 for XBox360 through the microsoft store, and downloaded it on my xbox360. Booting up the game, everything seemed fine, but as soon as I started, all voice overs were in French. Checking the settings, I can't change the
    VO language from French. This shouldn't really be an issue, seeing as the rest of the game is displayed in English, but please help me find a way to change the voice-over language.

    Hi All,

    I've got an XBOX360 with the language setting as English UK and the region as UK. We live in The Netherlands. We've got a game that only has French and Dutch language. My kids understand dutch, but playing the game (with the above settings) the default
    language is French. How can we force this to Dutch and not French?

    Hey, SonicSuperNET! Sorry to see any language issues! I see on the website exactly what you are saying the language support, so let's see if we can get this sorted. First, make sure that your account region and your physical location matches by doing a
    region migration. This will make sure that the proper Xbox 360 Store is reflected on the console.

    If you've already tried that and are unable to switch because of a recent change, then you will need to wait for the region migration lock to lift before you can attempt that again.

    However, if you've already done that and it was successful, you will want to delete the game and redownload it to the console. If the language still isn't showing as Chinese for you, and you still cannot locate a language switch in-game, then we suggest
    reaching out to Square Enix for further assistance. Let me know how that goes! We'll want to see if there's anything else we can assist with if they say they are unable to help. Thanks!

    1. When console change language and locale to English/US, redownloading the game can not fix the japanese game problem.

    2. Region migration is not allowed to US/ Taiwan. However, it can be shifted to China (CN), but once shifted, the game is still in japanese, plus ALL the Gold member platform and market vanished in China CN, and I have to wait for 3 months to shift back
    to HK!!!

    This is what I am facing and must seek for refund!!!

    That is a very poor experience with Microsoft Xbox!!!

    Why is the language option not be chosen when downloading the game in xbox.com? Is that so annoying for Microsoft to add this function?

  6. On the Xbox 360, changing the locale and language to something else doesn't change the Marketplace that you are downloading the game from. This is based on the account's region. China has a large amount of restrictions, and switching your region there will
    cause you to see the Marketplace as is reflected in China.

    The language is offered by the developers, not Microsoft. The option is within most game menus, and you would need to reach out to Square Enix for any inquiries on that.
