Language in Backwards compatible games

Hey everyone,

I just have a quick question about language settings in backwards compatible games or more specifically Fallout New Vegas.

I wanted to get some DLCs for NV as I’ve never really played them before, however when I go into the store they’re all specified as the German version since I live there. I find the German dub horrible tho so is there any way for me to change them to English?

I’ve already bypassed this with the game itself by simply downloading it after changing my location to the UK which also sets it’s language to english, however since the DLCs seem to be their own unique products according to which ever language they are
I can’t use the same trick with them.

Any other ideas would be highly appreciated.

Personally I would suggest contacting the game company or Xbox support and find out whether something can be done if you haven't done this already.

As specified in the question, yes I have. Since each DLC is sold as a separate product according to where your location is set I’m unable to purchase the versions that are inherently classified as English though.

Usually game language will be controlled by the region that the Xbox is set in, but with some 360 Games these could be regionally restricted. e.g. will only provide you the alternative language based on the region it was sold.

But in general it usually take the region the xbox is set to.

Availability for backward compatible games can, as you've encountered, vary by region. You can see if a game is available in your region by checking the list of

backward compatible games and making sure your region is selected. If it's not, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and look on the bottom left for the globe with the language/region selected and choose that to select the appropriate region.

Hopefully that helps clarify a bit.
