I am currently living in Finland however I do not speak Finnish. If I set my location to Finland the display language for the system is Finnish by default. This is causing a great deal of bother since I cannot set up a billing account and I continually
get logged off my on line gold account for security concerns. IP address Finland , account location UK . Is there anyway to change the default region settings so that I may have my language differ from my region ?

xbox one language. english in austria/germany?

Sadly, there's no way to set the system language to English if you don't live in an English speaking country. I have the same problem, I absolutely hate the Brazilian Portuguese dubbed games and keep my settings as English/Canada (because Canada is more awesome, sorry US), but can't use credit card or Xbox Movies without resetting the system.
For now, the best we can do is vote in one of the several Xbox Feedback demands to dissociate languages from region on Xbox or let you download games on a language different from the system language.

Gears of War 1 and 3 Codes aren't redeeming; came with Gears of War 4 as part of the collection.

well first you need to match your account region to your actual region

2nd and very important

Set your console and language to your nationally supported language

And yes gears checks for languages

Languages independence is an Xbox one only feature not 360

So France account French region but uk language = fail

French account French region and console and French language = bliss

UK account French actual region and uk language = fail

If you do not live in an Xbox live region you are going to fail all 3 conditions anyqays and there is no fix

with blackops the DLC language must match the DISC language

also the language of the DLC is limited to the region of your account offical languages

and your physical region and account region must match to download the DLC

The thing is skate is a bc title

Therefore region lock rules apply

So choosing another region will not work nor will changing your language

With the region locks your account region and actual region MUST match

And only languages available in your physical region would be available

Changing the console region or the language region will not affect this

You would have to find the German language content in your region

Disk copy still has to download the patch from online

The content would have set language set you wouldd have to browse the marketplace for the other language if available

Very very few games have inmenu language options

HALO wars comes to mind

You need to use the language of your actual region

Language in dependence is a an xbox one feature but it breaks compatibility with certain region locked games

So the language has to be the supported language of your region

Your account region sets the language of any dlc or games on demand game based on your nationally supported language

Consolw language doesnt affect dlc or availability of languages in live

The region of your account and the nationally supported language dictates what languages are available in your region

yes you cannot transfer same region to same region

btw with blackops games they are language specific this is specified in the descriptions there is no option for changing language

with most region specific dlc it is only offically supported languages of the region
