Language and location impossible to separate

Hello.

I live in Denmark and own an Xbox One console. I would very much like to have English as my displayed language on the console, but if I choose this I have to choose my location from English speaking countries exclusively. As such, if I choose English as
my language and choose an arbitrary location some of my country-specifik apps (e.g. Viaplay, a streaming app) won't play because they don't own the rights to stream to countries outside of Scandinavia.

Is there no way to bypass this issue?

I had a prolonged session (+1 hour) with support yesterday trying to fiddle with different settings in profile and console settings as well as the support agent trying to change my displayed language manually in the Microsoft system and maintaining my logged
location as Denmark - but alas, this didn't take and my displayed language is still Danish.

Any and all suggestions are very welcome - as I tire of the google translate-like Danish text in games and descriptions.

XBoxOne Language settings

Hello,

I love to play games und watch movies in the original language (english). On the 360 everything was OK. But on the One it's impossible to set 'English' in language and 'Germany' in location. When I choose english, the system automatically change the country.
I can only use the english settings, with the wrong location. But when I do, some apps doesn't work. For example XBoxMusic. Every time it tells me, to set the location right.

Please help me, or fix it!

Locations and languages

I have moved from the UK to Germany, and so updated both my Microsoft account and my xbox location accordingly.

As a result, I now see game prices in the Euro currency, but when I made my first purchase from the Microsoft Store (Jade Empire) it downloaded the game with German speech and German subtitles, even though my Xbox language is set to English (UK).

As far as I know, because my payment details have a German address, I need to keep my account location as Germany, but how do I go about playing new store/marketplace purchases in English if the Xbox is ignoring my language settings when I purchase games
from my new location?

 

I don't believe that there is a way around this at the moment. I do know that you aren't the only one that would like to see this happen. At this time, your only option is to make your voice heard on the Xbox Feedback site. This post has the most votes for
