Laggy Xbox Dashboard

I have an Xbox One X (Scorpio edition) and have been dealing with terrible lag for a few months while navigating to all areas of the dashboard. I have tried everything I’ve thought that may help, hard resets, factory resets, zero help. I have a very strong
wired connection and every game I own is stored on my external hard drive so no issue with potential lack of storage (no idea if that is even a possible reason for the lagginess.) I even opted out of the insiders program 2-3 months ago assuming that was the
issue, seems I was wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do You Like The 360 or XboxOne Home Screen Better

xbox one. The 360 was two slow and laggy. I really liked the original 360 dashboard but overtime they kept adding more things and it couldn't handle the menu anymore.

Xbox One Dashboard Slow & Laggy

I went on vacation for 10 days and remember the Xbox One dashboard being fast and responsive with no issues prior to leaving. After returning, I've noticed the dashboard is slower and laggy, to the point where it's annoying. I've done a hard reset and also gave it a few days before typing this, still the same. Was there an update or something? Anyone else experiencing issues?

Same with me. The last week plus it has been slow and laggy. Not sure what the deal is, but it is VERY annoying. I'm on an Xbox X...i don't think it's a hardware issue, its gotta be an update

Hi there,

Do you still experience Lag on the dashboard when your external storage device isn't connected? (Or any other USB devices)

If so, please try a Full factory reset and if that doesn't help then I would suggest contacting Xbox Support to see what they advise, since it could be a hardware related issue.

I would also suggest trying a power cycle as it sometimes speeds up the consoles performance.

I Have tried this many times but the issue is with the os being slow. They need to update it that you don't have to power cycle it every week or so.
