    Laggy Guide Menu

Just to clear up confusion, I'm not talking about the guide menu on the left side. I'm talking about the "What do you want to do?" menu that pops up when you hold the guide button, with power off system/controller options.

Ever since the dashboard update, the menu takes awhile to appear for me after holding the Guide button. My controller vibrates after holding it for a second, which is when the menu is supposed to appear. However, it usually takes around 15 seconds to appear
or longer. Sometimes even a whole minute.

    I've tried:

    - Factory reset, which fixed it for a little bit, until I started using the console again and playing games.

    - Unplugging power from console for awhile, plugging back in, and waiting for the power brick to turn orange before turning on.

    - Turning Xbox on without any external drives or anything else extra plugged in.

    - Switching controllers.

    - Updating controllers.

I am apart of the preview program, all I can figure is it has something to do with that. I tried to unenroll, but of course I'll probably be waiting for a month to see if that fixes it. Plus, every time I factory reset (and I assume when the unenroll pushes
through, it'll factory reset AGAIN), it takes several days for all my games and DLC to appear. I have near 70gb worth of Rock Band 4 DLC, and even though it's all on my hard drive installed already, it takes several days for all of it to appear in the Manage
Game menu, one-by-one. So I'm tired of resetting.

    Any help is appreciated.

    :)

  3. Do You Like The 360 or XboxOne Home Screen Better

xbox one. The 360 was two slow and laggy. I really liked the original 360 dashboard but overtime they kept adding more things and it couldn't handle the menu anymore.

Well it's officially no longer a Preview Program issue.

I completely unenrolled from the Preview Program and performed yet another factory reset. Everything worked perfectly for a couple of days. I hear the "chime" noise when I hold the guide button, I can smoothly go between menus, everything worked great. Until
I started reinstalling all my games and Rock Band 4 DLC. Particularly while the Rock Band 4 DLC was installing (several hundred files, I should say) and I'm getting all the notifications about each song being ready to play after they're installed, I noticed
the lag came back. It's taking a good 30-45 seconds for my "What do you want to do?" menu to pop up and the "chime" noise that goes along with it is gone. Menus are laggy. I press down several times in the guide to get to an option at the bottom of the screen
and it'll freeze for a second, before jumping down there suddenly.

I'm really at a loss here. The console seems to work fine until I start installing things. And yet, everything is installed to my external, and I have the same problem when my external is unplugged from it.

Minecraft menus are extremely slow and laggy.

Hi Ashleigh, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.
