    Laggy gameplay, but Wifi not the issue?


    Im reguarly having issues with lag and Ping while playing on my Series X.

    I dont have these issues when playing on the PS5 which is sat directly next to it or on my laptop when playing online games. I also rarely had these issues on my old one X Which makes me think its something to do specifically with this xbox.

    I tried the 'never fail method' of unplugging the console, disconnecting wifi and rebooting which worked for a bit, but it ultimatly reverts back to same issue

    Internet connection is good when i check it, any ideas what might cause it?

    I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

    After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

    First, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

    If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

    If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

    Sluggish experience

    Yes. Same here. Ok for a while then gets really laggy and sluggish. I then clear the cache and it's fine for a while then gets laggy again. As said gameplay is uneffected.

    weather your connecting wireless or directly to your router or modem makes a big difference,multiple people using the Internet at same time will also slow your connection down

    Have you tried a site like speedtest.net on your computer to see how much data your connection is getting? May be an issue with the actual connection not getting enough data
