Laggy connections with high latency ?

It could be as simple as calling your ISP and asking why so much latency. I did this and my ISP did a trace route and found faulty equipment in one of the servers I was connecting through. They replaced the equipment and improved my latency. Before on
Titanfall I was pinging at 125ms and after the ping was reduced to 50ms consistently.

High Latency Good Connection

Do you see this latency within a specific multiplayer game (where your Xbox pings specific dedicated servers), or do you see this latency within the Detailed network statistics test with the Xbox One's network settings? Are you connected wired or wirelessly? We'll

Connection Problems - High Latency?

Looks like your numbers are good. What do you mean by ping/jitter creeps up to 30/10ms range? A jitter of 3ms is not bad at all.

Have you tried switching between Best and Normal in preferences when searching for a game? It helps me a lot.

Try speedtest.net for a speedtest and pingtest. Select a server that is at least 500 miles from you.

Also, you can try www.dslreports.net. They have a smoke ping test that pings you over a period of 24 hours from three different servers. That will tell you how good your connection is over a period of time. Look for anomalies.

Also, do not access any bandwidth hogging apps like youtube when you are playing.

Check all the processes and services in your computer. Shutdown processes that are not required.

Also, try the following in different command prompts:

ping -t www.google.com

ping -t 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 or whatever IP your router is assigned.

You can also try a "tracert www.google.com" and then do a ping -t to the various IPs in the hop. If there is any trouble in your network map, it should tell you.
