lagging out

hi there I have had this problem as well.

Hard setting the xbox might do the trick if this fails tho test your Internet connection some time nat type changes on its own.

Leave the console off for about 15 minets give it time too cool down.

Make sure all wires are connected to the router properly as sometimes they do come loose.

Let us know how you get on hope your problem is resolved soon.

If it continues I would give xbox live support team a phone.

Why can't you try a direct modem connection? That's really going to be the only way to determine if it's an issue in the router, or an issue with your service. I would also recommend testing a different ethernet cable as well.

I have seen this problem as well myself quite a bit in various multiplayer games when in a party chat. I always assumed it was the settings/connection of one or more of the other people, something related to voice/chat on the network in general, or a
problem with a game and a separate party chat going on at once.

So it would be interesting to see if there is some sort of a fix for this that would benefit everyone in a party regardless of how good (or bad) everyone's individual connection is.

Does this problem also happen with other multiplayer games? Try clearing the system cache by holding down the power button for 10 secs and try again.

If it does not work, try deleting the alternative MAC address of the console. Go to: "Settings"->"All Settings"->"Network"->"Network settings"->"Advanced settings"->"Alternate MAC address"->"Clear".
