Lagging in multiplayer games, constantly saying poor connection to host server.

NAT type is open and have 5/5 bars. Constant lag when playing multiplayer. Download speed is so low... around 3mb/s.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated servers

Quite honestly there can still be lag. Dedicated servers dont typically negate lag issues. However,there will
be no more host advantage and host dashboards. Your connection will determine if you lag or not.

Will Battlefield 4 be better on the Xbox One or the PS4

it will be the same game i think. with ps4 if its not cloud based you will still have the multiplayer/look and feel but with hosting the raw power will make no diffrence.

for me the cloud will be an equalizer no one person will outperform another on a multiplayer title. their wont be an advantage of 3 people on one network with randoms lagging. with the cloud the latency/lag will be the same and takes the power away from the host. that alone makes me happier.. my connection is good but not super strong.. in games like cod,boarderlands2 i really need to pick my hosts or multiplayer wisely having dedicated servers changes the gaming dynamic.

During multiplayer matches, if your network configuration is good, sometimes the whole game lobby can lag if one other guy in particular is lagging with high ping/latency. The server must often operate at the speed of the slowest player's ping to ensure
everyone stays synchronized with each others movements and actions.

Download speed could be affected if your
Internet speed is overall too low, there are other people on the same network downloading/streaming content as well, or maybe
your ports aren't completely opened.

Don't you realise that most games, including CoD, use Peer-2-Peer not Server-Client. This means the players become the servers, nothing hosted by Microsoft or Activision or anything like that. If you are experiencing lag, its either YOUR internet connection,
or someone else's connection that can't handle the hosting. Often you can just continue to search til you find a good game. And you can't blame your poor reaction or poor skill as "lag"

This game has disconnected from matches due to poor hosts/horrible connections at least a thousand times for me...not even joking. Anyone saying they get no lag, is flat out lying. Even when you have host, you lag in this stupid game...the connections are
just bad.
