Lagging Bad On COD

Hi xbox guys and gals. I lag real bad like 1 sec or so on COD AW all the time. My download speed is 2.10 mbps. My upload speed is .57 mbps,and my ping is 13ms. Any suggestions what i need to do to not lag? My wireless router is a 802.11g/b. Ive heard 802.11n
is faster wifi is this the problem? I thought it was until I got good ping.

after UPDATE.....

after I did my update on my XBOX ONE and the COD ghost......it keeps Synchronizing and it will take a few mins but it always pops up every time I play...... is this normal? I'm also experiencing some lagging really bad...checked all the cables and everything
but still lagging...FWI i'm using Wifi only......but seriously after my Update it's been LAGGING HORRIBLY

really bad! Just think of COD and getting lag switched

 

Your internet speed is pretty poor to be honest so your only option really would be to get faster broadband.

Trying a wired connection may improve things a little

 

I agree with Daft here. My DL speed is 5 mbps and I think that is pushing it as it is. You should definitely look into getting a faster ISP.

 

Ok thanks, bummer though. I think by wiring my download speed will go to 2.6 rather than 2.1 as thats what my laptop gets when wired. If I understand 3 is the "Certified" experience speed. My ISP says I'm so rural 3 mpbs is the fastest service I can recieve.
From what I've read satellite internet has major issues with connectivity so no go there ,am I right or wrong here? I'm just po'd as my k/d is around 1.10 when I feel it could be as high as 1.5 as it is on COD Ghosts. For some reason COD Ghosts has very little
lag for me compared to Advanced Warfare.
