Lag while chatting in Parties on Backwards Compatibility games

As Gears 3 is backwards compatible all your friend needs to do is load up the game and invite you to play co-op. If you want to chat while playing he'll need to use the 360 emulator to start a party chat with you .

The backwards compatibility thing is pretty straight forward as to way it can't happen Xbox 360 had it's own architecture and the Xbox One has x86 architecture (PC like) and making the games backwards compatible wouldn't really be an option even if they
did make an emulator there would be issues. Even most of the backwards compatible games on the Xbox 360 have extreme lag issues like KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2. This was known for a while of course so there is no issue there.

as well as the cross platform chat and why that isn't possible because of how the chat works on the two systems. Bottom line, things that seem trivial and easy to do in your head are not so easy and basically impossible in practice.

Windows 10 be out in November and earlier for Preview members and backward compatibility. I seen a video where Major Nelson shows the dashboard showing you can access friends lists and messages and party chat from a quick button press while invisible background
while still playing a game.

Does the headset work on Xbox One Party chat (i.e. do you see a circle around your gamerpic in the party chat on Xbox One)?

Are only Backwards compatible games affected? If so, it might be that the Astro A50 base station acts as a USB microphone, which doesn't work as Chat microphone on the Xbox 360.

You might have to contact the Astro A50 support for information on how to use that headset on backwards compatible titles.
