    Gotcha!

    I'll try to keep it basic.

    First thing is to determine if your router's WAN/Internet IP address is a public/routable address, or an address within the private range.

    Login to your router's user interface (not sure which of the following two you're using tp-link wr1043nd/sitecom wlr-4004 v1).

    Search for the WAN/Internet IP address. Regardless of make and model, the naming convention are usually WAN or Internet IP address.

    Now, on your computer, go to
    http://checkip.dyndns.com/     and compare this IP address with the IP address of your router's WAN/Internet IP address.

    Do they match? A simple, "Yes" (they match), or "No" (no match) will do just fine.

    Post back and let us know and we'll work from there.

    Sorry it took so lonv and i didnt try your method but what i did was connect my xbox to the modem and... No lag, yeah happines. BUT, if im mot able to connect both my router and xbox at thesame time to the modem. So i can have no lag or internet but my parents
    want internet so i have connect my router to the modem, so back to lag.

    What does this mean: should i buy a better router since(wired to router = lag, wired to modem=no lag) or is there a way to connect my router AND my xbox to the genexis modem at thesame tim

    You never answered my question, regarding the IP address of your router's WAN interface being the same, or different, so please, read my previous post and let us know what this information tells you.

    The information I'm looking for is whether your Genexis has router capabilities built-in to it, or if it's a layer 2 fiber optic switch, doing tagged traffic for different services. Such as Phone/Tv/Internet.

    The Genexis "Live Module" is replaceable with different types of modules/features, so it may well be that the module you have installed is also performing NAT. This would mean that your console is behind multiple levels of NAT, which often is an indication
    of issues related to NAT traversal.

    The WAN/Internet interface of your "tp-link wr1043nd" would reveal such information. If this is an IP address within the
    private range, then your console is located behind multiple levels of NAT.
