    Lag issue


    I'm getting lag on TitanFall and K.I the only two games I own for my Xbox One that are online. I tested everything on my side and it seems to be just fine. My Xbox 360 is smooth as silk. I did all the recomended steps for Xbox One listed on the forums.

    So here is a list of my info so hopefully the issue can be resolved!

    LOCATION: GRAND JUNCTION, CO

    ISP: CHARTER 30 DOWN 5UP

    MODEM: MOTOROLA SURFBOARD SBV6220

    ROUTER: D-LINK DGL 5500 GAMING ROUTER STREAMBOOST ON

    FIREWALL: OFF

    NAT: OPEN

    WIRED: CAT6A

    XBOX ONE INFO

    27.88 DOWN

    5.06 UP

    NO LOSS DOWN

    NO LOSS UP

    PING: 42 MS

    MTU: 1480

    TITANFALL US DATA CENTER WEST

    PING: 64 MS

    It all exceeds the requirements for Xbox Live to run smoothly on my Xbox One yet in my online games i see lag. Titanfall only gets 2 or 3 bars most of the time sometimes 4 never a full 5. I'm guessing this is an issue on your side because my Xbox 360 is
    smooth and so is the rest of my internet.

    If you need any additional info please ask I would really like this issue resolved because I love my Xbox One.

    Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated servers

    Quite honestly there can still be lag. Dedicated servers dont typically negate lag issues. However,there will
    be no more host advantage and host dashboards. Your connection will determine if you lag or not.

    lag Issue

    Everytime I play a game, I always lag and then disconnect. But this never happened about 2 weeks ago





    I've moved my router away from my xbox, I've also restarted my modem which as made it a little better.. And I've also put my xbox onto a flat surface

    Lag issue

    I don't have anything constructive to add, just validation of you complaint. 75% of my Titan Fall game sessions end in failure because it can't even locate a DataCenter to log on to. My specs are about the same as your above, the only significant difference
    being I'm in Honolulu. I've spent more hours waiting to connect than actually playing the game. And when i do play, lag is ridiculous. As a pilot it takes almost a full second to turn 180 as the screen jerks and jitters toward the new point of view. I
    lose every gun battle, not just because I suck, but because I can't get any sort of aim. I want my money back for TitanFail. It's so not fun and a complete waste of time.

    Where guy live. And how fast you internet speeds are? Because if lived far away from MS servers. It be slow to connect. And if you had slow connection in the begain with. It be even slower.

    After doing further research the problem with lag stems from StreamBoost.

    As stated before I own a D-Link DGL 5500 Gaming Router with Streamboost by Qualcomm Atheros.

    Streamboost is not properly seeing the Xbox One the same way it does the Xbox 360.

    Witch is causing the lag.

    I need Microsoft to contact Qualcomm Atheros to let them know there service is causing lag on the Xbox One.

    I have been getting lag spikes in Titanfall for the last week too.

    Also when bringing up the score board I can see about half of people also drop to 1 bar connection.

    Speedtest shows I have 103mbps down and 23mbps up and connected directly into the modem with the Xbox One by cable. This is on Comcast Xfinity, Netgear CG3000Dv2.

    Like I say, this only started happening recently on Titanfall. So not sure if your issue is down to StreamBoost tbh.

    That's All Changed.. Since Everyone, Syncs To Host & Server Now... You're More Likely, To Get Lag As Host..

    Because, Everyone Is Leeching Of You & Relaying Game Data To Server Through You etc... But, Players Ping Times, Can Effect The Hosts Connection To Game Server Too.. [People, Will Skip Around On The Host Screen & Make It Hard To Shoot Them etc]

    That's Why Everyone Drops-Out When The Host Of A Public Lobby Leaves & Server Searches For New Host [CoD]... Otherwise, The Server Is The Host & It's Left Up To Your Own Connection Problems To Server..

    I know about ping and all of that. Gears of War has the worst servers that there is. Other games that are on servers does not have the latency like this game does...

    After the new DLC came out, and they stopped letting you play on dedicated servers IF you didn't have the DLC, it was really sucking bad. Playing on consoles, where you regularly had to migrate, many times mid-game, was frustrating to say the least. I finally
    bit the bullet and bought a season pass, and now have the DLC, and haven't been playing on consoles (or at least no migrations), and things are really noticeably faster. Plus, some of the the new maps are really cool. It sucks the way EPIC did this, forcing
    those without the DLC or that didn't pay 'again' for the game, to play on sub-par consoles. The lag was EPIC as well. I'll think twice about buying another EPIC game, although when it works, and when you happen to get on a server where you have the advantage
    on lag, it is a great game. Unfortunately, I'm in Alaska, so I will typically have a longer delay than nearly anyone else in the CONUS just due to the shear distance and the speed of light. Sucks for me ;-)
