Discus and support Lag across all games! Please help! in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I don't understand what is going on with my connection. I have always had good connection.     Lag across all games! Please help!


    I don't understand what is going on with my connection. I have always had good connection. My detailed network statistics are Download speed 23.91 Mbps, Upload speed 1.88 Mbps, packet loss 0%, MTU 1480, and Latency 56 ms. I have restarted my modem many times
    now. I am hooked up straight to the computer. Called my ISP and had ports opened and unblocked and I am still lagging in all my multiplayer matches. I am getting really annoyed by this now. Could it possibly be my Xbox One? I got it the day they came out.

    I have the same problem across all games I'm not going to bother giving specifics because I know XB support is just going to send me to their "wizard" which only tells you to restart your modem and run a connection test. With this many people having this
    problem I do believe it is somthing wrong with the xb1's we all worked so hard to buy. I have never had issues with 360 and find it offensive that support seems to be shrugging this off as if we don't matter! Remember Microsoft if it wasn't for the customer
    you would not have a business! We are playing (at least attempting to) on a current gen console! We should not be experiencing these problems! I do believe that Microsoft is too afraid to admit they put out a sub par product. Probably rushing to compete with
    the PS4.

    We have to show them we won't be taken advantage of! If anyone has found a solution please post it! But unfortunately I believe this is out of our hands.

    Yeah I have had the exact same problem, okay I do not have the best stats of 7.56 MB down and 1.2MB up but everything was perfect for the 360 and now on the One I can't play any multiplayer games, I have tried everything from getting a new router to dmz
    servers but nothing works! Some people saying its because the xbox servers are in Florida and the distance from Florida to the UK is great hence causing the lag but I have a mate down the road with lower internet stats but play online perfectly. I have tried
    everything to do with servers and ports but nothing works, Microsoft have now agreed to send me a new console as they believe it could be a hardware fault, I'll get the new console Monday and I'll tell you if its solved the problems. At the moment I feel like
    I have wasted £450 when I had an 360 that worked fine, REALLY ANNOYED!!

    Your connection speed seems to be the bare minimum, recommended speed for online gaming on Xbox Live (3MB/s, or 24Mbps).

    If you have other devices on your home network actively streaming data, that will use up some of the available 24Mbps bandwidth of your connection and cause a slowdown.

    After trying EVERYTHING to get rid of lag from my wireless connection I finally went out and bought an ethernet/network cable and connected it directly to my modem/router and it works perfectly, no lag at all....thanks to everyone giving solutions and trying

    I also tried configuring my DMZ to the ip address of my Xbox, and I also figured out how to properly port forward, and none of it is working.

    Hi Fizzle, my single player has been perfect, i'm only getting lag in online multiplayer, and in every game I play on. When I do the multiplayer connection test it says "I'ts all good". A lot of the time on Forza 5 and COD Ghosts for example it will say
    could not connect to server or could not find a match for multiplayer, and on the rare occurrence that I do get into an online game, it is VERY laggy. I tried port forwarding but I couldn't change my ip address to static. I have a great wireless connection
    and could connect with my xbox 360 without any lag at all. 99% of the time it says my NAT type is open but once in a while it will be moderate. I made sure my IP addresses matched, I turned off then on my UPnP to refresh my NAT table, i'm not getting a "Teredo
    IP address error" or any other error messages for that matter. Not sure what's wrong or what else I could do.

    yeah uk here, sky fibre , and BAM lag....on BF4 I have been known to moonwalk its that bad....and I have been unable to get onto a conquest game
