    Lack of wireless network connections despite the wifi being on


    The other day i was on the xbox one as normal, nothing new had changed and i took a break for a bit. When i turned the console back on, i could no longer connect to xbox live. (The test network kept on saying that everything was good despite not being able
    to access any of the internet based apps on my console)

    I tried restarting the router, power cycling the console, removing the wires and leaving it over night, but still nothing.

    After checking various other issues that people have been having in the past, i decided that there wasnt any other option but to reset the console and see if that got rid of whatever was causing it to not be able to connect.

    Following 2 hours of waiting for this update to install, it then tells me to either connect wirelessly or via an ethernet cable, so i look, and still no wireless networks, then after connecting the ethernet cable, it finishes what it was doing and brings
    up a message saying that it was "awkward" because there wasnt an upsate to be done.

    Following this the console takes me to the home page, connected via the ethernet cable still, and even after removing the cable, my xbox refuses to discover any wireless networks.

    Sorry for the long winded explanation, but my question is whether or not the console is requiring outside repairs or if there is anything else i can do to fix this?

    Is your console connected via an Ethernet cord or via WiFi?

    If it's a wireless connection, be aware, that network speed via WiFi is dependent on several factors: Is your Router 802.11ac capable? If so, does it support MIMO? Otherwise only one antenna and channel is used to transmit data, and if multiple WiFi devices
    interact with the WiFi, the speed of the WiFi decreases with the amount of devices using the WiFi.

    Also, the more wireless interference is introduced (number of walls between your router and the console, and the amount of metal around your home causing "echoes" in the WiFi signals, or neighboring WiFi networks or wireless devices that interfere with your
    WiFi connection.

    That being said, WiFi is always a bad choice for high performance networking.

    So unfortunately it hasn't worked when the xbox was seeing if there was an update it showed there was a problem with the wifi not being connected so i went in and i tried to connect the wifi its not showing any wireless networks and still show the security
    protocol thing.
