  1. Lack of proper do's and dont's, when it comes to supplying electrical power to One S

I think Microsoft needs to be way more intuitive and informative about their power supply designs. I totally did not know that my One S was not supposed to be plugged in to a surge protector. And as a result, over the period of less
than two years it silently killed my console. First I would get random automatic shutdowns, then as the problem persisted It became more and more frequent. I went to youtube seeking a solution, only to come across videos of people stating that Microsoft doesn't
want you to use surge protectors with their consoles. I believe this is the cause of my problem. Now the console is defective, and just shuts off randomly even though I no longer have it plugged into the surge protector. WOW, that sucks, now I have to go through
all this repair and wait. That makes me sad, I miss my Xbox Lack of proper do's and dont's, when it comes to supplying electrical power to One S :(. TO ALL FELLOW XBOX OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE THE SURGE STRIP KILLING But that is odd, why can't I utilize the protection of a surge protector? Microsoft you are 1 in a 1,000,000 but I still
    love you.

    :)

The end of the 360 ...

Yeah I ended up buying one. Is there any do's or dont's about setting it up that I should know about? I'd rather find out now than after the fact.

  3. Xbox shuts off

When opening you tube, my Xbox one S shuts down completely. Has anyone else seen this issue? It happens approximately 4 out of 10 times, but may go a day without doing it. Power supplying the Xbox is a constant 121 volts.

The console has a surge protector built in. Having it plugged into another one cause the console to have issues pulling power.

I use a quality surge protector board to connect my TV PC and Xbox consoles, the board has a life time warranty too. It's not like my bedroom has 8 wall power sockets in it. Many people use power boards to connect their devices. Besides, what happens when
the surge protector from Xbox goes faulty where as your power board doesn't? I've had Xbox since late 2010 and have had no issue using a power board, but make sure it's a quality board. More mature people may advise not getting it since it already has one
built in. But it's down to customer convenience. If I followed their advise, I would need extension chords running into different rooms, to connect my devices. Why do you think reputable companies make power boards for. Some board manufacturers offer life
time warranties on their boards and cover up to like $10k for connected devices. Eg. is DSE where I got mine from, who also operate in Australia and New Zealand. Also make sure you're not connecting too many devices to a board all at once and that the amount
of devices connected to it (important) doesn't exceed the maximum tolerance which the board can tolerate. And make sure if you do, it's not some cheap dodgy board.

Australia and NZ does have special consumer rights legislation. Usually we'd just take it back to the retail store we got it from and they'll offer a refund, replacement, or send it to the manufacturer for repair. If the item is under warranty, legislation
dictates we don't need to pay shipping. As stated in the contract, if you acquired the application outside of the US, applicable law, your countries laws govern the interpretation of the contract. If it worries you a lot, get a technician to put like 12 power
wall plugs in your room lol or get a technician to expect the electrical wiring in your house. It wouldn't hurt to get an expert to check and make sure your electrical wiring throughout your house is up to par. Who knows, they might find something....

I think if your conscious enough about how you use your stuff, that should be good enough. Again, A LOT of people use power boards, around the home, and even at schools and work places!

  6. Oh thank you so much, I really believe it is both of what you said. I purchased the surge protector from Target for a little close to $20, plus I had like eight different devices plugged into it including my 4K display.

My xbox one won't turn on

I think your problem is about the power supply, maybe an electric shock, the power supply protected your xbox, you have to get another one (power supply). Sometimes it can be repair but I dont know much about it.
