Lack of games on xbox one

I read through your wordiverse Johnny Q Knowsnothing and have already addressed your points. I know you're not a troll... you're just a bit special.

Fight Night is an EA franchise, which means they are burdened with the cost of development and weighing the financial benefits of releasing another Fight Night. If I had to guess, I think they're more interested in promoting their UFC franchise right now.

And again MLB triple-A games don't sell well. Quality is not a word associated with them. The Show on PS4 has fewer sales than its last entry, which had fewer than the entry before that. Fewer people are buying each new version.

But regardless... and again... 2K is responsible for MLB and EA is responsible for Fight Night. Head on over to their official forums and join the petitions of the millions of disgruntled gamers begging for Fight Night and MLB on Xbox One.

If you can't find them... assume that the franchises aren't a priority because consumers... the "we" you're always referencing in your posts. The "we" that feels left behind and let down by Microsoft... they're not interested. It's not quite "we"... it's
you, man. There is no clamour and demand for the games you're vying for.

However, we have established in this thread between all of us, that there are baseball games on X1, and there are WWII games. But there are also people who do that thing kids do, when you sit them in front of a TV with kuh-jillions of channels, movies, sitcoms,
cartoons... and they go, "There's nothing on."

Pfft. Maybe they're not as interested in TV and movies as they like to think they are before they sit down in front of it, maybe they haven't watched half the movies they already own, or maybe they won't give anything outside of their narrow sphere of interest
a chance. {=D

OP I been around the bin a long time. I know as it stands. Baseball video games are not a main seller since the 16-bit era. I was a kid at that time. Even my peers want to get the next baseball game. I even rented a few in that time. But that like a good
20 years ago. And what big then. In most case's. It not big now. Boxing is dead too. Not many people buyer last fight night game. But I might be wrong. It now UFC from EA. And WWE from 2K.

I dont think your in a position to judge anyone especially someone you dont know, the internet has a way of making people brave and rude, I try not to hurt anyone, I was mad, put up a post, since explained myself and apologized, leave it alone.

I have lots of time at the moment so each time I get an email shoing someone else replied I look and if it is someone like you calling me another name, I try to be nice and explain myself a little.

My beef is the same as it was I am not mad about it but I do still have a point of view and am entitled to express it in general discussion, I cant believe you would see it and then take the time to knock me, in my real life I would never go out of my way
to be useless to someone and hurt their feelings the same time, if I cant help I would just let it alone.

I just thought, hey a simple franchise that has been around a while, and knows there is a new console coming out, I would expect that they get ready and start developing their software to work with the new hardware so they can offer the game as soon after
its release as possible for the most sales opportunities.

Again, my thinking may be wring, it may be unrealistic, but it is how I feel.

OP the developer of those games speened at most a billion dollar(like games as COD.). If they do not get money back from there investment. There will not be a next one. This is true outside in the video game business. That why like faces of THQ,3DO,ACCLAIM,MIDWAY
and ATARI are no longer making no more games. They made too many bad investment that it made them go out of business. Game developer want more then 100% of returns. They want a 100% bonus on top of that to proffit from the games. If they do not get 100% there
money back. They will not greenlight the next one at all. That how business works. It about the money and not the fan base.

This is why you do research before purchasing a new console, or at the very least do some research before posting. MS is not responsible for other companies wanting to continue making games from series that were on the 360 or OG Xbox. It has also been widely
known that the only true MLB game is a Sony exclusive (RBI Baseball is on X1 if you really want baseball). Not sure what your 70" 4K TV has to do with the Xbox One or playing games, other than wanted to brag about it. To each their own I guess. I have been
quite happy with the selection of games available, especially considering the system hasn't even been out for 2 years.

 

You are absolutely correct and I should have done the research rather than count on or assume anything, that was my point all along, I should have done tons of research that I can assure you most others like me did not, we just assumed as did in past releases
certain truths to be so.I should have made sure the games I was going to play were going to be made available and upon further searching I would have released for me, the xbox one is nothing more than a new console to add the kinect technology more, not really
to advance the games franchises and graphics as much as I had personally expected and grow to expect from any generations of consoles having been released over my lifetime.

I have been gaming since the 70's as I said and you get used to certain games and game types to grow with every new console and hardware advance.

Sp if you dont care about the games you have played in the past and enjoyed like baseball and boxing and ww2 shooters, then sure a new xbox one might make sense to you, to me it just doesnt and I so wanted it too, I was hoping for such advances in hardware
that we could finally see the most to date advanced versions of these games who's genres i have come to love and appreciate it.

I am ure the new games are great looking and fun to play and if you are open minded and like change and all that I am sure the game cinske is just great for you, and if you were smart enough to keep your 360 plus get the new one I bet your in second heaven
as far as games go, I really wish I kept mine and then could add this at sme time in th future that the games catch up, but I didnt, I had false hopes, heard false rumors and just ddint take the time to really research hard enough.

My fault, no harm done, to others in my boat, if you expect to be able to enjoy the titles you loved before dont just jump blindly in, you might find yourself without your favorite games.

But because the titles you've "personally come to expect" - from being super out of touch - aren't in the list: Fight Night [last title was launched in 2011, did ya buy it?] and MLB [2K13 last seen in 2013. Sold poorly and was critically panned, did ya buy
it?] and of course WWII [CoD WaW last seen in 2008, Battlefield BC: launched in 2010] you think there's an issue with the platform not supporting franchises?

Fans of CoD buy CoD, Battlefield, Battlefield. Can you imagine the uproar if they, or if FIFA had been missing from the X1 launch titles? Or Madden?

Baseball and MLB baseball has been a mainstay and a very popular and successful franchise, I want to lay baseball and I want to box, fight night was brilliant but any will do.

I dont care about all those other games and you are making my point, all those games, but no simple baseball or boxing?

Lastly, I told you if you are happy, then why do you care that I am not, are you that threatened that xbox one didnt satisfy every human on the planet?

Relax fanboy, go play one of your many many games that you love so much.

I just want to reboot www2 shooters, play advanced mlb baseball or other style new for the new console and improved game, or boxing with equal or better graphics and physics from fight night champions.

Now, I know you dont get it, but please understand, there is nothing you can say that will make buying an xbox for me make any sense, I see no point in owning one, or paying for one as it has no games I want to play, you should have one, you seem to enjoy
those titles so it makes sense for you.

I have a ladder because I often do work that requires a ladder, I dont recommend you go buy a nice ladder since you may not need or want one, I am not going to be offended if you post your disappointment in ladders, it doesnt effect me, just like my disappointment
with xbox one does not effect your fun, or life, so move on.

No, you haven't. Because NEW games in these genres/franchises wasn't even a thing on last-gen, let alone this/next gen. And if it didn't bother you on last-gen that annual releases weren't taking advantage of engine tweaks and advancements in physics and
lighting and whatever...

... then you were already playing stale frickin' baseball and boxing games on last-gen. so what's the diff?

If it didn't bother you then, then perhaps the best thing you can do is buy an old console now, and get playing the games that didn't get loving care from devs, or bought in droves by consumers at all last-gen. All of the franchises you liked were dated
in comparison to other genres and franchises when you left them! Why would publishers choose those games to impact the next generation so early in its existence? It'd be stupid.

This quandary you find yourself in is constructed entirely by you, you can solve your problem at any time. Buy a PS4, a PC, a last-gen console. I'm not trying to get you to buy a One. But don't expect your absurd expectations in what a next-gen should have,
when the things you like weren't a focus on last-gen - the longest console cycle in gaming history - to find sympathy from people who have working brains.

Even though they were rare releases on last-gen... so it's kind of self-explanatory as to why they're missing on the next generation. But hey... whatever

This is a public forum. Expect your ideas to be challenged when they're bad. Go read a history of video-games. Go look up your favourite franchises, their sales statistics, and their critic scores. Why aren't thse games a thing!? Do they suck? Didn't I support

Thoese games don't sale well thoese days. As for real fighting sport. The gamer thoese days are in to UFC. Baseball had it time. So did WW2. Gamer in the shooting area are into mondren or sic-fi setting theme story. And if you want too. You can developed
you owned baseball,boxing and WW2 shooter. But most likey thoese will bomb in the market. End up in the discount bin.

Use your head kid and read the conversation that led up to my post. When I said "updated" I meant updated from the World War II shooters to the new era of modern warfare games in order to target a wider demographic. Don't know what that means, feel free
to google it up. Your hatred or whatever it is for current Call of Duty is completely irrelevant and your lack of intellect really shows when you don't fully read threads or posts.

See, this is where reading the entire thread comes in very handy. I mentioned Baseball because the original poster here had wanted it to on the Xbox and I simple made mention it a Sony Exclusive. You can go ahead and keep bickering with yourself over who
has better exclusives but bottom line is that it somes down to opinion per player.

 

It looks like lumper123 just got a bit worked up, which is understandable, and overreacted. He posted out of anger and since apologized. You'd be amazed at how many people will argue to the death even though they know they're entirely wrong.

But even after that, and being told the whys of his franchises not being available he continued to blame the system manufacturer, holding onto his ideas of ill-preparation for the console, what the console was made to do instead of play the games he wanted,
and then, paraphrased, "I may wrong thinking this way but why are you trying to stop me in the General Discussion?"

Because you're still posting those thoughts. It's a public forum. You can't apologise in one post and in another go back to saying what you were saying anyway that was wrong initially like nothing happened and somebody doesn't get it. Heh ha.

Baseball games don't sell well. The big league has licensing issues/costs on the Xbox platform. Next-gen development costs for a franchise with a track record of poor sales won't be on a publishers to-do list. Because next-gen development costs are huuuuuuuge! The
franchise has been absent for two-years, it stopped being a thing before Xbox One became a thing.

Boxing licenses cost money. The publisher, EA, is concentrating on another fighting sport with more dynamic rosters, more fights every year, and ever changing divisions and champions and new stars coming in.

WWII CoD and Battlefield-style shooters weren't a thing by the end of the last life-cycle, so they won't be a thing early in the new life-cycle... so...

Its my own fault, the game is great, you are great, everything is great, except that you can not play mlb baseball or box on an xbox one that has been out over a year.

So for me, it doesnt work, I dont want one, cant see buying one and I am over it, I am adding an external graphics card to my laptop and off I go, gaming with whatever I Want.

I was disappointed in xbox, personally I think that more of an effort should be put toward having games ready at launch, but eh, thats me, we cant all agree on anything.

I meant no harm, I was ***, I vented, I came to the realization that xbox agrees with me, they have said so in several correspondence, its just the way it is with manufacturers and distributors, its fine, there are enough people who have no standards that
will buy a new console for the sake of having a new console, I am not one of them.

I demand more, at the very least pleasant courteous customer service and an explanation.

To re-cap, I was perplexed at the lack of basic games ie: baseball and boxing for two examples, that have been out for years, have followed xbox, then xbox 360 and are missing on the xbox 0ne.

Xbox doesnt make games, they work with game makers, but obviously not close enough to see that their customers from the past arent going to buy the new system until they catch up with the games, I was so naive I thought that hey after all this time surely
they got around to the basics, havent they? nope!

So its not for m, guess what its not for everyone.

All in all I am disappointed with the whole release, I went to the xbox store at the mall around the holidays when they set up and showed of all the games, I went in and asked the guy, I Said "dazzle me" it was boring, he put on madden, it looked exactly
like madden on 360, I saw nothing that made me think holy crap that is amazing, it was all the same old crap with new features, big deal.

no advance in graphics that was obvious, no new games or re booted versions of older games with the new advanced hardware and slow to release anything, who cares about kinect technology? I had it on my 360 yeah it is kinda neat sometimes, but who cars, this
whole console was redone just to build it in, lol a stupid ploy to stay in the market if you ask me.

I said to him, dont you have anything that just looks awesome, something new to show me, and the guy was like, well, not really you see its ...... what a waste.

I was willing to keep that to myself and think, well hey its early yet in this release, they need time, I like my xbox so I am confident in time they will sort it out, well hey its been like a year, wtf? if by this holiday season they are still waiting for
games to come out, they are out of the gaming market for my money, you cant just keep me waiting forever and expect me not to stray to a better more organized company who listens to my concerns and addresses them.

and of course pc gaming alway has been the best, the only convenience of console gaming as it was al in one, no upgrading video cards and buying expensive memory and building a new system every two years, but compared to this, playing nothing, waiting for
ever for games a child could make, I say screw it, microsoft doesnt want my money I am happy to give it to others who do.

And by the way jealous little man, stating what I plan to play on like a 4k tv, isnt bragging, its just saying, hey I have this technology available to me and I intend to use it, I had hoped with my xbox one, but either way I am using it for gaming, I wasnt
bragging about it, anyone with money can buy one, so whats to brag about?

If you dont have a 70" 4k tv thats your choice, I happen to love gaming, and to really enjoy if you need a good display, I am sure if I offered to give it to you to try you would try it, so did I, I dont mind spending money on the best when it comes to making
something great and more fun, ike gaming.

If you are going to game and want to be immersed in it, you spend the money to make it happen, which is what led me here, I was prepared to buy whatever I needed to make this happen, the only thing that stopped me was there were no games that I want to play
available.

Anyway for the last time, I vented, realized it was my own fault for my disappointment, I acknowledged that, I moved on, you dont need to reply yo this anymore, there is nothing to say unless you have a release date for the franchises I mentioned coming
out.

Enjoy your xbox one, try not to spend your whole day yelling at trolls and noobs and proving your worth online, remember the world is outside.
