Lack of exclusive's for 2015

I was bored this morning and after the SFV reveal was a bit upset I wouldn't be able to play one of my top 5 games series (first world problems I know).

When I bought the Xbox one last year I actully was leaning for ps4 until I saw Xbox had IMO a much better list of launch titles and over the last year and a bit it has by a mile, there's only one ps4 game I felt I was missing out on: Infamous but so many
good Xbox Games: Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Ryse.

I decided to check out a list of Microsoft's exclusives for 2015 to see what we had coming and for me it's awful, just Tomb Raider, maybe Fable if it isn't too multiplayer heavy and that is it, I know there's another gears coming (another reason I picked
Xbox) but I'll be surprised to see that out next year, we've seen nothing of it and I'm not a Halo fan so Halo 5 means nothing to me also is anyone actually excited about Quantum Break, it just looks dull to me but I might be proved wrong yet.

Now lets look at Sony's list: You've got, The Order 1886 (my wife likes the look of this so I'm hoping she might buy a ps4) , Street Fighter IV ultra (I know it's on older machines but I've packed them away now and would have loved this on Xbox One), Street
Fighter V, No Man's Sky (which I loved the look of since I first saw it at the god awful VGX's and then even more at this years almost as bad GA's) and Uncharted 4 (always knew this would be the one big lose picking Xbox over PS4).

It seems mad Sony has sooooo many good looking Exclusives and we get hardly anything.

I really didn't want to get a PS4 this early in the cycle (My Wife is still annoyed I paid so much for the Xbox One when you can pick them up for £125 less now), it splits my gamer-score/trophies in half and every multi platform I have to decide what to
get it on, but once uncharted 4 hits with all those other good games kicking around it's gonna be hard not to unless MS surprise us with a sudden list of great games like Forza 6 (with loads more tracks please), Gears 4 and get something like Assassins Creed
Victory as an exclusive.

Just had a look at those and I'm just excited by them in the same way as I would be for uncharted 4 for SFV, some of them are indies which get on my nerves most the time (turned the Game Awards off because it felt like an indie fest) Crackdown and Scalebound
might get my attention later on but it just seems Sony has revealed loads of stuff this weekend and MS didn't show a *** thing at the Game Awards or anywhere else. Just tell me GoW is out before next Christmas or they have a fighting game that plays like Street
Fighter (don't like KI) and I'll be happy.

 

"The Order: 1886" looks like "Gears Of Ryse".

Nice that the more powerful console is catching up with the XBox ONE even if it's only going to be next year.

 

Op why not buy both systems and have the best of both worlds? I got the PS4 for Christmas and I bought myself a Xbox One last week. Now I get to play all of the exclusives and I am not missing out on anything.

 

That No Man's Sky looks really good. British developer too. Heh ha. But one has to bear in mind that it is all strictly controlled glimpses so far. Looking at it, it reminded me so much of what I expected Freelancer to become...

.... Microsoft, *starts sending psychic message* if you still own that Freelancer IP, GET TO WORK... it could rival Destiny, Mass Effect, No Man's Sky and Eve Online if done properly. It could be huge and it has existing lore and an existing pedigree.

But yeah, er, exclusives. I don't know why people aren't chomping at the bit to get to play Quantum Break. If you've played Alan Wake or the old Max Payne's you should have some idea of how it's going to turn out. Which is, action meets story, in immersive
environments.

Sunset Overdrive, I nearly bought that bundle, but I want a 1TB. One thing I love is character creation in video games and it looks really, really cool in SO. Right up there with Saints Row's. That game looks fun as hell.

Then as brandiesel1 mentioned... Crackdown. How did everybody not kick-off about the lack of female agents in that? They were all so distracted by Assassin's Creed Unity. There is existing artwork from Crackdown 1 of what female agents would look like...
and they looked cool.

But yeah, done properly that game could change what we expect to see in terms of designing a world to play in, a sandbox to destroy. I think the major changes in destructo'd environments will obviously be around Kingpin locations... but having multiple agents
working together to achieve potentially drastically different results could be immensely fun.

Before the Developers were reminded of the Publisher's advertising exclusive with Sony they were saying that "No Man's Sky" is for both platforms.

Agree with you though.

"Freelancer" on the ONE would be amazing.

Um, no. They've never said it'll be on XB1 at all. Even the head of ID@Xbox confirmed no talks have happened between MS and Hello Games. It may come eventually like Joe Danger did but that was years after it released on PS3. Keep hoping though.
