  3. The lack of couch co-op is bad, I agree. Whenever I'm over my girlfriends house, we set up our Xboxes next to each other. She gets the medium sized telly and I get the little one. It's a really nice setup and we have the home Xbox so we can play any game
together. Also the reason why I don't have gold anymore. She's my golden girl. Have you checked out PvZ Garden Warfare op? It has couch co op and MP.

The only thing I find with it is, you have to lower the sound on one tv because it sounds stupid if you don't.

    @Enen

They have managed it before. I mean the old COD games had couch co-op. Granted not all games and/or modes areviable for couch co-op but i think devs could do more to incorporate into their games somehow.

I think MS wanted all couch co-op games to be kinect powered lol.

Borderlands:The Handsome collection will be split-screen.

but i was a huge couch co-op player back in the day, noticed with the 360 that couch co-op games were getting less and less as time went on. you can always do the "home console" method and then at least you'll only have to buy 1 gold sub, and only one copy
    of digital games.

@Boas, they used to have tapes instead of hard drives before......things change there is certainly more processing these days and consoles certainly aren't top of the range, I would be interested to know the processing difference, but the other issue is
going to be cost of production versus number of people using it.

The only time I am interested in split screen is games designed for it, like kinect stuff, dance central etc, to me development time is better spent else where.

  10. if your main xbox is set to home then any profile on that xbox can use your digital games then if you (the profile that downloaded the game) sign in on xbox 2 you can play with just having the one copy

digital games and Xbox Live are tied to your gamertag, and MS have their services setup in such a way that if you have a Xbox setup as your "home" xbox, then anyone that signed into that Xbox will have access to the Live Gold and any digital games that you
have bought with your gamertag. now if you went to a friends house and signed into their Xbox, you will have access to you games and Live because those things are tied to your gamertag.

so, you buy another Xbox, so you'll have 2 in your house, you setup the second Xbox as your "Home" Xbox, and it will have access to your games and Live service regardless if you're signed in or not, and then on your main Xbox, actually sign in with your
gamertag, do NOT make it your "Home" Xbox, and as long as your gamertag is signed in on the main Xbox, you will have access to Xbox Live and your games.

hope that makes sense, i'm currently a little distracted by work.

  12. Yeah I think it sounds good, that A- I don't have to buy the same game and B- I don't need to pay for another live account. Let me resummerize what you said see if i got it.

I buy another xbox one, My main account is home account. My son has a profile under my main account or Home account, he can use his gamertag to log into the secondary Xbox one? So all I need is another xbox?

so if you have a Xbox in your living room that you normally play on, and then your son has a Xbox in his room, if you purchases the games on your gamertag, and have the gold Live account, then you make the Xbox in your sons room the Home Xbox for your account
and he will always have access to Live and any digital games that was bought with your gamertag, and then when you sign in to the Xbox in the living room, that Xbox will have access to Live and the digital games on your gamertag for as long as your gamertag
    is actually signed in.

it's really easy to understand once you do it, i think i'm just over complicating it.

I think that most of us that grew up playing local co-op are now in our busy adult lives and just frankly wouldn't have to time to go over and play co-op at a buddies house everynight. Which is why I fell in love with Xbox live early on since I'm now a
few states away from friends, it's so much easier to keep in touch while playing over live. You should always have the typical fighting games and the skylanders/disney infinity series will be a viable option. But the majority of games have so much going on
with their hud, that it just is a dying breed these days.
