lack of content for xbox one

I 100% agree with NxtDoc1851. There are so many games I haven't tried yet and still want to try. Plus the XBOX ONE is not even at the two year mark yet.. so it's fairly new... I am looking forward to a lot of games coming out too.

 

Xbox 1 has only been out for 17 months. Of course Xbox 360 is going to have a larger games library because 360 has been out wayyyyy longer. The library of games for Xbox 1 is much better than what limited games it has at Launch where it only had Forza 5,
Zoo Tycoon, a few others and... that was it.

 

The Xbox One has nearly double the amount of games that the Xbox 360 had 16 months in.

 

I think the lack of content debate, has it good games or bad games etc is a chat that can go around in never ending circles.

Up to yet, some might call me lucky but the Xbox One has delivered me some absolutely stunning titles, as I always say though for someone sitting next to me that doesn't share my taste in games could look at the games I like and think ... "Meh" ..

The problem though in my situation at this moment in time and I bet it's the same for a lot of people here. I've got so many games I need to finish, a few I've yet to even start. I've got 3 new games this Friday, another 2, possibly 3 the Friday after and
that's without even mentioning games not long after those.

The day needs more than 24 hours at the moment lol

 

For me content is lacking on all 3 major consoles right now. Its just that time of year. Should pick up the end of this month and by the end of the year we should be seeing a steady stream of content.

I think the problem for alot who say there isnt enough content is that alot of it is remakes of old games or indie games. Not alot of people bought their XO to play those.

 

Don't get how anyone can say there is a lack of content per se, there may be a lack of content people are personally interested in, but there is tons of content available, Loads of new games released in the past few months.

I can see a lot more remakes/re-mastered games still yet to come.

I've seen over the last week or so a petition going on Twitter to get a remake of Modern Warfare 2, I mean come on, if your going to do a Call of Duty remake, remake the best one, Call of Duty 2

I guess it just depends on the game, if it's something that I enjoyed in the past and don't mind playing again then sure, I don't mind. Given the choice though I'd rather a proper sequel to a title I've enjoyed rather than the same game that looks slightly
prettier!

 

^compared to the 360 tho it is lacking, which is what a lot of people will compare it to as that is what they have come from.

Those are the only games i can think of released since the turn of the year (there may be waaay more my memory sucks) to some that will seem like a lot to others it will seem like a little. The problem is how do we judge what 'enough' content is?

I guess it's different for everyone. At this moment in time there's too much content for me ( or games ) I intended yesterday to come on and play some more Ori, yet to start Scream Ride on my account but ended up with Mr Codger playing Forza 5 online for
another 4 hours.

3 more new titles for me this week, 2 maybe 3 new games next week and that's without looking at games beyond that so more than enough, in fact too much for me at the moment.

For others though it's different, unfortunately some will be sitting there now scratching their heads wondering what to play next.

 

^Thats me right now. I was sat there after finishing Saints Row and though once im done with Mordor and Tomb Raider I only really have Unity to play (i do have Sniper elite, Lords of the fallen, MGS and Limbo to play aswell but they havnt grabbed my attention
yet)

I guess my problem is im looking for that attention grabbing content like DAI.

For me this prob wont happen until the xmas period. (depending on how good FF Tyoe 0 is)

 

Even though having loads of games to play is great, I mean no-one likes having no games and having to wait weeks/months for the next release but sometimes having too many can be a pain ( in a nice way )

It's a case sometimes of what do I play? this one, no that one, ok definitely this one, then you realise a few hours have passed and you've played nothing lol

 

I just did a little count of individual titles for sale in Asda, PS4 28, Xbox 360 23, Xbox One 29 . Seems like plenty of games available to me.

30 games a year is not that many to be fair. Content is there just not like it was on the 360 which is what alot of people are expecting now.

 

I didn't played half of Xbox 360 games library.And there wasn't much games available on Xbox 360 during the first 2-3 years after launch.People seems to forget.

30 is a big number ,more than 2 games a month...But maybe not for "fastfood gamers".

I have probably finished no more than 5/6 games since the new generation came out. Some people finished that amount of games in the first month.

If i was given 2 games a month then i would be happy with that but i have a friend who literally seems to finish new games in a matter of days so to them it isnt enough.
