L4D2 disc does not work on Xbox one

When I put disc in it says "make sure you're using an Xbox one game, a music CD, or a movie on Blu-ray or DVD. (0x80820002)" it works on 360, it's platinum edition, and it has no scratches

L4D2 (Left 4 Dead 2) isn't working disk wise for Xbox One. I don't understand why though.

Ok, I need help. I just went out and bought L4D2, but now I can't even play it.

For some unknown reason, the disc version doesn't work. Whenever I put the disc in, it doesn't even try to install.

It says that the disc isn't a Xbox one game, Music CD, DVD, or Blu-Rat movie so it can't read it.

I've tried calling Xbox Suppotry and they blamed it on my disc and console.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get this to work?

Im also having this disc issue with L4D2 on my BRAND NEW Xbox one. Should have just stuck with 360.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! Have you had a chance to try clearing the Xbox 360 storage on your Xbox One yet? If you haven't yet, give that a try and then power cycle. For info on how to do that check out our

Check to see if a standard DVD movie will play in the Xbox One. There have been some posts recently of people not being to load DVDs at all, which is what Xbox 360 games are stored on.

Have you tried a factory reset but with the option to keep all games and apps?

 

Aswell as clearing local 360 storage

Sounds like a hardware fault with the disc drive since it won't read a DVD or Xbox 360 game.

 

Mines the same way l4d2 wont work fable 3 wont work on disc fallout 3 wont work on disc and none of my dvds new or classic wont work all 360 games that i have downloaded work perfectly but no disc works that i have tried

 

But they all work on my 360

 

Hey, HatchetmanBub! As stated previously, if DVD discs (360 games, movies, etc) are not working for you, it sounds like a console default and you will want to set your console up for a repair.

 

Hey there hatchet and assassin. I have the same problem and it turns out just like others have suggested that its a hardware problem. Your disk drive is no good for the dvd portion just like mine but blurays work for me. Check to see if that is the same
issue with yours. Hopefully you are still under warrenty and request a repair unfortunately for me its to late and i have to pay. Good luck guys hope i was able to help.
