    KOTOR on Xbox One - Saved game slots lost


    I recently downloaded Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) on my Xbox One. I played yesterday for about 4-5 hours and was saving constantly and in several slots as I went. While I was playing, I was able to load my saves without issue. However,
    today when I went to load the game, the majority of my saves were gone - - everything from approx the last 3 hours I had played.

    I have seen a few posts elsewhere where others have had the same problem.

    -Is there a fix for this?

    -I have read that the saves are backed up in the cloud and there may be some kind of sync issue - - is there a way to save them on my local hard drive instead? This would be ideal.

    -If I can't save them locally, is there a way to manually kick off the sync and confirm that everything is synced before quitting my game? I looked but could not find a sync option anywhere on my Microsoft of Xbox Live account.

    Appreciate any help on this.

    Can you have mulitple characters?

    I liked DA's style of saves. Different character have different saves. Simple. Seeing that other games have that same function I hope Skyrim also has it.



    I remember renting KOTOR 2 and was almost near the end of the game when my friend saved over my only slot with his new character...

    I’m so happy that KOTOR can be played on One X. Can I suggest making KOTOR 2 (Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords), Max Payne 1 and 2, the Thing, and Fable as well?

    I’ve saved these games specifically so I could play them again on a console one day.

    Remember to save OFTEN!

    Ever since KotOR, I've been playing RPGs with the 3 Save slots rule - each new save replaces the oldest, etc, etc so if there's any corruption on the latest save, the 2nd to last isn't that bad to jump back to.

    So how was that data file supposed to help me? As it happens now, I started a new save slot and got to the exact same point in the game again - which is roughly where you are able to start building a fleet..... And guess what.... My entire fleet from
    my first (lost) save slot is there waiting for me. In fact, all 12 ships immediately popped up as finishing their mission, and I got of load of money. How is that even possible? Different save slots, different names, different games... Something is
    seriously *** up. I am not confident that this is nt going to happen again.

    Save game keeps disappearing

    Last night I passed 33% progress in slot #2. Today, it says 0% in all slots, and the last played date for slot #2 is
    *two days in the future*. What the... There used to be around 1% in slot #1. I tested all 4 slots and they all start at the beginning of the game. I tried deleting my local copy of my saved game, then my XBox
    downloaded the saved game from the cloud. I was hoping it would be a version prior to the corruption, but it was exactly the same as before.

    It would be nice if Microsoft could restore a working version of my saved game from yesterday or the day before, I'd prefer losing one days worth of gaming compared to everything, but I don't see any method to submit such a request.

    I'm really disappointed. I thought since this system had been out for a year the bugs would have been worked out by now. The system was worthless on Christmas, this game froze a couple of times in the past 12 days, and now all progress is lost. Apparently
    Microsoft doesn't even allow you to do your own backups/restores on XBox One either.
