KOTOR Anniversary Edition?

I recently read an article that talked about how Phil Spencer was a fan of the KOTOR games, and would put his vote in to create an Anniversary Edition of KOTOR. I then went on to read how alot of people at Obsidian would love to make another KOTOR game.
The licensing seems like an issue, but it doesnt seem like anything that cant be sorted out. I would LOVE to see a KOTOR on next-gen, and would, without a doubt spend $60.

Might be awkward since the "Star Wars" license now belongs to Disney.

 

Well to start with Obsidian did not make the first 'Knights of the Old Republic' game, That was Bioware.

Az is a bit off on this occasion. Disney does indeed now own Star Wars but they have given EA rights to make games based on that property,

So since EA have the license to make Star Wars games and Bioware made the first KotoR and the current MMO based in that Star Wars timeline, a HD remake isn't out of the realms of possibility.

 

Meh. I could never get into either of the KotOR's (didn't like the gameplay/pacing). It'd be a pretty sure sale for the fans though.

 

BioWare couldn't get the KOTOR games to work properly back then. How the heck would they now. Most of the fixes came from fans over a very long time period.

Well KOTOR is one of the greatest games of all time, but I'd rather see KOTOR 3 than a remake.

KotOR was awesome. I wish I could've snapped a picture of my face at the twist. Mouth agape. lol It's second only to "Would you kindly?" in great video-game storytelling moments of history for me. =)

 

This sounds like a very likely thing. I would welcome it for sure.

 

Well seeing how in the book "Kotor Revan" they put Revan in perpetual lock down and killed the exile I don't think it is likely the will make a Kotor 3, but would be nice to see a anniversary addition with full screen.
