    Kotor 2 and original Xbox backwards compatibility


    So I have tried to download Star Wars knights of the old republic 2 on my Xbox one using my old original Xbox disc. It has come up with saying it is not backwards compatible yet showing me the games that are backwards compatible with it clearly on the list!
    Now my questions are has anyone else downloaded original Xbox games via disc and what do you think the problem is? It might be it coming late to Australia. I don't know help will be appreciated.

    Hello "Sword StyIe" Kotor 2 and original Xbox backwards compatibility :)

    I love KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2, but I like KOTOR 1 more. I still have my Original Xbox and KOTOR 1 & 2. I would check the game case, but I'm not home at the moment LOL Kotor 2 and original Xbox backwards compatibility :)

    Also, despite the fact that KOTOR 1 & 2 are backwards compatible on the Xbox 360, they're unpalayable due to glitches & stuff Kotor 2 and original Xbox backwards compatibility :(

    xbox (original games) on my 360 aren't working

    Hello,

    I've been trying to play halo, halo2, KOTOR, and KOTOR2 on my 360. Anytime I put in a disk I get a message saying "This game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again" . What am I supposed to do?

    Things I've checked/ done so far:

    1) checked that these games were backwards compatible:
    http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-other-devices/original-console/backward-compatibility

    2) Deleted my cache in all my memory storage devices

    3) Deleted an incomplete downloads on all storage devices

    4) I am connected to xbox live (So my software should be updated)

    5) I didn't see any downloads for all for games in the marketplace.

    Hey - I had a very similar issue.

    Went to the store via the console to purchase this game (I don't have the 360 nor the CD's anymore sadly) but it wouldn't let me download - saying that payment type is invalid.

    This is completely untrue, as I can purchase any game bar those that have been recently released as Xbox One compatible.

    I then spent an hour with support to see what the issue was and it looks like you have to download using an Xbox 360 console. Not Xbox One. Annoyingly I thought I'd be fine with the physical copy so just bought it online, but seeing your comment means I'm probably
    going to have the same issue.

    Wanted Games on Demand: Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic I + II

    Stars wars KOTOR is indeed backwards compatible, I play it from time to time with my ex rental copy. If Microsoft was planning on releasing any more Xbox Originals for Games on Demand, they would of done it months ago.

    KOTOR II I am not sure if it is backwards compatible but ill look into it :)

    would definately love to see some original xbox games become backwards compatible. Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, D&D Heroes, Jedi Academy, KOTOR just to name a few.
