Korra! Korra! Korra!

Avatar Ang was a great man.

He once netted me 1000 gamerscore in a period of 3 minutes flat.

However the days of Ang have come and gone and a new legend takes his place with the adventures of Avatar Korra.

Though many have the ability to bend the elements of Fire, Water, Earth and Air only the Avatar can bend all 4.

Whether you're a fan of the Anime series or not the reason to give this game a good look is that it's developerd by "Platinum Games" who have some pretty decent games under their belt.

For me personally there is nothing cooler than when a video can bring my cartoons to life, so if you liked the "Naruto" games, "Azumah's Wrath" or any of the otherstuff companies like Cyberconnect brought to life you might want to check this out.

Transformers brawler game leaked (possibly Platinum's game)

Looks like another Legend of Korra.

 

I really wanna get it but my backlog is terrible. I need to work on that a little first. How is Korra though? I watched some clips of it and it looks decent.

 

It releases today and I'm at work so I haven't had a chance to give it a go.

On the strength of the Developer's past products and the series I'll be picking it up today. It's available for both the ONE and the 360.

I love the show, but I find that many cartoon/anime-based games are terrible, and according to reviews, this game is no exception. I think it actually scored a 3 out of 10 on one of the reviews I read...

...that's bad by the way.

 

Okay, I just spent a few minutes watching gameplay clips to give it the benefit of the doubt. Although the graphics look nice, I can't help but laugh when I see Korra jump high into the air and do a swan dive towards the ground that results in her head being
lodged and stuck into said ground like an ostrich where she becomes completely helpless against her foes.

 

Lucky us.....Platinum releases two games this week and we get the kiddie game while the Wii gets Bayonetta 2 as an exclusive. How in the world did that happen.......

 

So if you are a fan of the series you'll enjoy this game.

I'm not sure how sincere the reviews are for this game. Perhaps it will get really bad as I continue? But for now it looks like most of the guys trashing this game are annoyed because Korra wound up and punched them squarely in the face.

If they couldn't immediately succeed on "Normal" difficulty... the fault must be the developers right? After all these guys are "professional game reviewers"?

Well for £11.00 you get a game that fits in perfectly with the Anime series.

It's a little challenging to get into because you need to simply get to grips with how the game plays and how to use your arsenal of attacks and abilities effectively.

I started on "Normal" and struggled, dropped down to "Casual" to get a grip on the basics and then went back to "Normal" and was doing fine.

You can mash the buttons... but you'd be better off to master the moves if you want to play effectively.

It's challenging and is likely to upset small children or self proclaimed professional game reviewers but for fans of the series, so far it's pretty good fun.

 

Im just about finished with the 2nd season of LoK. Pretty good. I like it

I really didn't want to buy this because Platnum Games usually make games that I think are garbage (Part of the reason why I'm not super excited for Scalebound) but I gave it a purchase since I got it for free. It could use some more polish but its a decent
enough Avatar game. That's all I ever really asked for in the first place so I'm good with it.
