    Kodi slow 4k


    Hi,

    Kodi app on Xbox one cannot show 4k movies properly(very slow playback)

    The reason as they say is microsoft bug in the decoder library.

    Movies & tv app can run 4k movies without any issue (it is using the system decoder API), Kodi uses ffmpeg+d3d11 api as a decoder and it is not working (very slow playback).

    Kodi guys told me that they cannot move to system API because it will means re-writing Kodi for Xbox one.

    They are waiting for a fix (and all Xbox one users that using Kodi as main media center).

    DLNA works badly

    Don't use DLNA.

    Use Kodi from Xbox app store, setup NFS shares on the QNAP (see Kodi NFS wiki).

    Add NFS shared folder to Kodi and it will play content much better than DLNA.

    i am trying to download kodi 17.6 but i am failing

    i am trying to download kodi 17.6. in the store they only have kodi 18. how can i get kodi 17.6 that will work on my xbox one?

    I have managed to get Kodi working, but it's slow compared to the turner. Just not the same experience but it has a working guide.

    If you go to Whirlpool you'll find info on how to set it up or search online and you'll also find the step by step guide :)

    I gave up using Kodi as I still prefer the Freeview tuner (without the guide working).

    Because they know what I was launched on my console, It was only re4 remake, pillars of eternity, persona 5 r, Starfield, and unofficial Kodi from 8/18/2023, but Kodi is not emulator from 10.13.10
    What do you mean by "unofficial" kodi? Whats the difference between kodi and unofficial kodi?

    Thanks. But it is formatted as media drive it is a wd 3.0 3.6tb with 3tb mp3 x264 full HD and some 720p also. A few movies do not play but if I put them on an ext ssd they play.. I use kodi. None 4k play on the hdd. On ssd they do as mp4. Mkv does not work
