    Kodi On Xbox One Media mapping


    Hello,

    I recently installed Kodi on Xbox One through the app store. I am trying to add my Western Digital Media Hub as a movie source, but nothing I do seems to get the xbox to recognize it. I have been able to get kodi to recognize it on a fire stick, a raspberry
    pi, and windows 10, but it won't map on the Xbox One.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I would like to see kodi 14 in xbox one . kodi is the new name of the best media center application xbmc

    It will be great and many people will agree with me that if kodi comes to xbox one then it will be all in one for everything

    You can't is the short answer.

    Kodi while now available in the Windows 10 store still only works on PC's, it is not compatible with Xbox. To work on Xbox would require big changes which are unlikely to happen.

    There is an Apple app store friendly off shoot of Kodi called MrMC but they have said they aren't interested in doing an Xbox version at this time.

    To make the Xbox see the Kodi media library you must turn on the UPnP server in the Kodi settings\services section then browse that via the media player app on Xbox. A far better approach is install something like Emby or Plex server on the PC and use their
    clients on the Xbox.

    It's not. Kodi is third party, just like Plex.
