Known issues... Exciting times... $600 later with tax and warranty... Exciting?

Yes, I've read a few posts but can't reasonably be expected to read them all.

* With instant-on, controller/assistant/physical button press appearance is that of signing out and hardware is not re-probed. Exact same behavior if it's currently wired or wireless when this happens. Since UEFI , I miss POST the most but this does mean
it shouldn't be firmware related but if it is, we already know a cold boot performs handoff to the detected boot device. Proof is even given by MS to hold the HW button for 10 seconds.

* HDMI-CEC does not detect my Samsung Smart TV (un50h5203 1080p circa 2014). My previous One S had no issues in this department. Not only have I already given it to a friend but I also can't conceive continuing to use the old, slower one after just spending
all that I had saved to buy the Series X. The results are the same with the included HDMI cable.

* Play and charge battery does not properly charge the included (smaller controller...) with the Elite 2 A-to-C cable from a USB half-amp wallwart charger that works fine with the Elite 2 (dock and controller port). It does work correctly when connected
to a Series X USB port. The guide button status screen confirms the new controller is not in a charging state unless connected to the Series X, forming a trip line from the entertainment center to my chair. You might wonder why then I'm not using my Elite
2 controller. Conveniently for Microsoft, within weeks of the warranty expiring the upper rear paddles began to not work and now the right shoulder button no longer works. Granted it was my own ignorance here thinking the nearly $200 controller included warranty
duration commensurate to the item cost.
