    Known Issue: Users Unable To Launch Some Apps on New Xbox One Consoles After 1811 Update


    Hello Gamers,

    We wanted to make sure you were aware of a workaround we have identified for an issue that a small set of users may be hitting with various apps like the Avatar Editor or Microsoft Rewards. If you have purchased a brand new-in-box Xbox One console and are
    taking the November 1811 Xbox One update, you may notice that some apps will not launch once you complete the console setup process.

    To be specific, you will need to be on a brand new Xbox One console that is being updated for the very first time out of the box. If you are in this scenario and your first console update was to this OS version: 10.0.17763.3062 (rs5_release_xbox_dev_1811.181109-1527)
    - then this issue might affect you. If you feel you are in this scenario and are experiencing this issue,

    follow the four step process here     to see if you are running the OS version previously mentioned.

    If you happen to be in this scenario, don't worry, we have a workaround prepared to get you back to gaming! You will need to update your console to the following OS version: 10.0.17763.3065 (rs5_release_xbox_dev_1811.181121-1200). If you are on this OS version,
    then you have already been resolved in the background and apps will launch with no issue. If you are not on this OS version though, you can manually update you console with these steps:

    1. Make sure your console is connected to the Internet, and then open the guide and choose Settings.
    2. Select System > Updates & downloads > Update console.
    If no update is available, your console is up to date.

    If that is the case, the factory reset as suggested by Shane should solve your issue.
