Knowledge of Xbox capabilities (looking for ambassadors help)

Really dude? Im sorry to sound impatient with you but i do believe i am now wasting my time. If say you and tohellanbak played madden and i was your friends and i asked well who won.

You both say yea, but tohellanbak provides a video proof in his Clips by saying Xbox Record That then i will believe him as the winner. As he showed proof.

In competitive gaming it has always been up to the players to report the outcome in an honest manner.

In a much more simple term.

It is up too you or any other gamer to take initiative and provide your own proof.

Normally the best way to do that is screen shots or videos.

As of now and imo will never be a way to check Meta Data of a game.

 

OK now I think you understand what im asking . lets say these players are not side by side . One is in California and the other is in New York. Do you see any solution to a dispute process other than being truthful. As we know there are shady people out
there and people may lie.

Also, is there a way to tell if someone disconnects their console in a xbox live match compared to loses connection?

So basically it is up to the gamers to be truthful? that isnt a good enough solution if your going to be betting money on the game

 

Seeing Meta Data is not a possibility.

Honesty is the only way besides video evidence.

Besides that it really only matters that you have fun playing the game.

Why not broadcast on Twitch while you're playing, then you have proof. Or do what some of the guys have said already and just say Xbox Record that!

 

Some people connection simply do not allow for MP gaming and Broadcasting. Best bet would be collect their upload video and determine winner this way.

 

It depends on the game. Battlefield 4 records a battle report for every match, so if they played that they could show you the battle report on the battlelog forum. I don't know if any other game has this sort of thing though. It's not incorporated into
xbox live itself. As said, on xbox one they could use the record feature, if only to record the end of game result, but they would need to do it there and then.

 

OP, here's a question for you - why is this important for you to know? I'm curious.

 

Sounds like he may be setting up some type of Competition over the web and just needs advice on how to make sure his winners are really winners.

Listed Mia 510 thats basically exactly it, i am just having difficulty with "an honor code" being the only source of who the winner is. Plus on top of that I need a way to figure out if someone disconnects their console because they are losing compared to
if they lost connection.

any ideas?

 

I know twitch is for the users but it does not give me the capability as a third party to have the outcome of the games sent to me. I want the players to literally just play and not have to worry about sending me the results.

 

The disconnect thing would have to be personally witnessed. With variety of connection types now adays there is no way to really tell.

If you dont want the honor code. Enforce a mandatory screenshot of score board. That is fairly easy to do with an xbox one.

Also if you were please do not advertise your competition here. I know you have not but advertising is not allowed.

 

I wont advertise or anything thanks for the heads up. Im just trying to get some advice. So for xbox360 and other consoles the screen shot isnt really an option ?

 

Unless a gamer has a Capture Card, or does not mind snapping a photo of the tv screen.

Quick fun fact about snapping photo's of your games on the tv.

I would recommend having a team leader for each team that will promise to use the voice command "Xbox, record that" to show the end-game results (or record with their own DVR or live-stream it via Twitch for you to watch). If they don't do this, the match
simply doesn't count. If someone disconnects, automatically consider it a loss on their end, since that'll sort out the rage-quitters and is fair since anyone can potentially be randomly disconnected for whatever reason. I think that's fair as long as you
don't have anyone manipulate the network, which is a bannable offense on Xbox Live.
