Knocking sound out of xbox one

Was wondering if anyone has had the same issue with having a knocking sound coming out of their xbox one. It seems to only happen when it is pulling or saving information off the internal hard drive. Support just keeps on putting me off it seems. I'm tempted
to put a new hard drive myself but I've heard it could get you banned. Anyone have advice or a solution?

I daresay if hurricanes are knocking out your power and cable, maybe access to your Xbox One library is the least of your concerns.

Hard drives normally make little clicking and whirring noises while they're reading or writing data. If it's an abnormally
loud "knocking" noise that recently began occurring, and you're encountering system freezes, data corruption, or other errors, then I'd suggest
scheduling a repair.

Hard drives in the Xbox One are not meant to be user-replaceable. Attempting to do so will definitely void any warranty on the console and you'll likely get your console banned from Xbox Live.

If your internal hard drive is still booting and running fine, I might suggest you get an external hard drive (that's at least 256GB
and USB 3.0) and move all of your games and media there. It will at least decrease further wear on the internal drive.

Why is it that everyone is haveing trouble with xbox one and it hasn't even been that long since it came out? I have an xbox one myself and knock on wood and thank God I haven't had that much trouble with it? Except for the fact that it dint have any sound
at first but I got it fixed.

Sounds like your having a problem with the box - if the box was knocked over that will cause these rings on the game disks.

If the xbox is making the scratches with out being moved, or hit then there is a malfunction with the unit.
