Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Games on Demand version

Anyone else having problems with it freezing when trying to start a new game or load a save? I spent money on the game and all the DLC and I can't play any of it! I've uninstalled the game and tried it on a different 360, but it still doesn't work.

Have you tried uninstalling all of the DLC, and just starting a new game, with just the base game?

I've had Reckoning freeze on me when trying to load saves before, but the saves I was trying to load relied on DLC that I didn't have installed. Instead of saying that in a nice little onscreen prompt, lol, the game just froze on me.

So if I were you I'd try starting a new game with no DLC installed if you haven't already. If it works... install House of Valour, as it's a nice and small file size... try it again. Works, add Dead Kel... and so on...

I had loads of freezing problems when using any of the free dlc that came with the game.

If i remember right it was the armour and weapons you got relating to the mass effect game, i stopped using them and the problem stopped.

 

@Bentley-Yea there is a main issue with the game on demand version of KoA but an easy fix...The House of Valor dlc is the problem. When you download KoA off of the marketplace the online pass is included already(which i don't even know if it tells you) and
after downloading the separate online pass(which is the House of Valor dlc) it causes the freezing issue...simply delete the online pass.

 

Yes, it was the online pass that caused problems for me as well, that was what i meant by the free dlc.

The mass effect armour caused problems too.

 

@TOK-I loved the Mass Effect armor lol and went through most of the game with it until it was necessary to change it because of wicked enemies(I have KoA on disk which seems fewer problems for some reason) although I didn't buy the weapons bundle dlc and
i hear numerous complaints on it...like weapons not even showing up in the game:/

 

Thanks guys. Funnily enough I tried everything except deleting the Online pass!
