    Kinetic Sensor for Xbox One x


    Just bought an xbox one x, weeks ago, excited as its our first box, downloaded games & apps. One of it is “just dance 2020” & xbox is asking for the “kinetic sensor” which i dont have, tho it walk me through to use my phone to play the game instead, but
    we find it irritating and you cant do break dancing (haha) as we are holding the phone since. I asked bestbuy.ca and walmart (cant find online) if theyre selling the sensor spec for the box, unfortunately, says sensors obselete already (sad) & ask me to try
    with microsoft itself and in buy&sell group if someone selling theirs. Cant get through microsoft via phone call so i emailed them about my concern, what can be our alternative sensor use, ugh, and failed, no to avail and its been a week they havent respond
    to my email. Can someone walk me through this kinetic sensor thing? Where to buy? Suggestion? Brand? Alternative? (Aside from phone) TIA. XoXo

    The Kinect and Kinect sensor have been discontinued. You would have to try searching used game stores or ebay to find them.

    Issue with Kinetic Sensor

    Ok, I have a few questions for you.

    1. Which type of console do you have? (S, E or FAT)

    2. Have you previously tried to manually adjust your sensor?

    3. Do you have an adapter for the sensor and, if so, is it plugged into a wall socket or power bar?

    4. Which USB port is the sensor plugged into?

    Issue with Kinetic Sensor

    Puma, for future reference it would be better to create your own thread about your issue. However, thanks for posting the info.

    Your issue is that you are using the FAT console with the sensor. When attached to an older FAT console the sensor requires an adapter that is plugged into a wall socket to provide the extra power required. Without it the sensor will not function properly
    and could overtax the console causing it to die.
