Kinect is not overpriced. It's the Xbox 1 Elite controller that is the culprit, and I've seen several on here comment that it broke after a few months. With Kinect if you live in NZ/Australia under our consumer rights laws Microsoft has to give a 12 month
warranty on it. Yes they're a US company but they have offices here so fall under the jurisdiction here too. Were as I read in the US, Xbox Elite controller only has like a 90 day warranty. Microsoft sells the Kinect in NZ for NZ$169 and the Xbox One Elite
controller for NZ$199.

Kinect you can do so many things. I can't believe people still want to try and accurately enter in a 25 digit code to redeem content off Xbox Live when you can save so much time just waving a QR code at Kinect and it makes it so much more faster and easier:

Kinect you can do these:

1. Voice commands. No mic required. No controller required if you want to take a screenshot or video clip, can do that all with a voice command to Kinect.

2. Send voice messages. No mic required. Kid comments, I broke my mic, yea that cheap plastic-e thing, my dog ate it, I lost my mic, my brother took it off me and is hogging it.

3. Chat with friends and randoms using it. No mic required.

4. Use it to console video chat with it, on Skype. And it tracks you when you move around the room.

5. It can see ghosts or spirits in "what else can Kinect see?", it shows a shadowy option which can see things which may go missed by the naked human eye.

6. Play certain games which have Kinect support. I have Kinect Sports Rivals and Zoo Tycoon, and it's real fun.

7. Use it to securely sign in on your console without entering in a pin or password. It uses advanced facial recognition and even can tell when you're wearing sun glasses (Kinect Sports Rivals avatar creation) and it can differentiate if you have a twin.

8. It can be used as an amateur security camera in your house or bedroom, fun idea. Just leave it on. Hook up a PVR to your Xbox One console, set it to record.
