Kinect Xbox One X

How much of a shaft job is it that i have Kinect and can't connect it to my new Xbox One X? I need an adapter to connect it?! I go to my local Gamestop and an adapter is available for $40. They and no other Gamestop have the adapter available. I look
on Amazon and they have the adapter for $200. Really? Microsoft does not offer the adapter anymore. Really? So now i cannot use the Kinect that Microsoft bundled with my system on my NEW Microsoft system. Xbox ecosystem of devices? Raw deal indeed.

Wanting to buy the one x finally I was just looking in ways to hook up my kinect, which I still use for certain games and have used for skype etc.

Just found out the need of an adapter that isn't available anymore. It seems I have to create my own adapter, .

To me this is ridiculous, especially because the xbox one x site of microsoft promotes " Compatible with everything Xbox one" ,Xbox One X | Xbox . That last part simply isn't true (anymore). So thinking about reporting this
to our national ad/commercial commision.

All and all you're right and this microsoft move is hard to digest.

 

Microsoft terminated support for Kinect about a year ago, including (unfortunately) the adapter that is used to connect the sensor to Xbox One S and One X models. If you believe the adapter should be re-released, post/upvote it at the
Xbox Feedback site.

 

I always used my Kinect up until I got my Xbox One X. I'm definitely upset that we didn't get the same option the Xbox One S early purchasers received. That being the ability to get the Kinect adapter for free.

I'm still sad that what made the Xbox One unique to begin with, has all but been removed over the years...

 

It does kind of suck because I used my Kinect until the X came out. I’d like to still use it.

Indeed it does state on the website "Xbox One accessories work with Xbox One X"

Since it IS compatible, only thing that changed is the fact that the Kinect and adapter are No longer manufactured but they still work with the Xbox One X.
