kinect xbox one fix

My XBOX ONE was loud when starting games or apps plus my KINECT was switching it self off i was out of warrenty so i tried to fix my self . 1. took the xbox apart and it was blocked up with dust i gave everything a good clean and that solved the noise .
2. i took apart the kinect and gave that a good clean and so far so good NO ISSUES so i guess it could be the xbox was shutting the kinect off due to high temp ? or kinect was ? hope this helps those with same issue and are out of warrenty...

Well, until they fix everything on "The Xbox One" last year, besides the Kinect no one will. :/

This can be caused by several issues.

Sometimes, simply recalibrating the Kinect fixes the issue.

If this doesn't work, make sure that the back of the console is not near the edge of the surface it is resting on. There is a little lip on the Kinect cable which can snag on it and pull the wire out (this happens to me occasionally).

Alternatively, you can fill out a Service Request to have this repaired:

support.xbox.com/.../getting-your-product-serviced

Glennmark, did you find the inside of the kinect to be dirty. Mine is doing this. Sometimes in comes back on, sometimes it doesn't . If it doesn't, I have to unplug it for a few seconds and then plug it back in.

Strangely, it will still IR blast my cable box and change channels. Although it will tell me it can't change channels because the kinect is not present. Weird.

my Kinect was doing the same thing .... both my xbox and Kinect was dirty fans and vents was blocked with dust and giving both a good clean seems to have fixed the issue but only recommend if you have run out of warenty

I too fixed my 500gb xb1 and kinect with a good clean out as I was out of warranty anyways ☺
