    Kinect won't stay ON


    My Kinect turns on during Xbox power up, but shortly after will proceed to flicker ON and OFF (white logo LED turns ON/OFF and video feed in the Kinect setup prompt dissapears and reappears). The period of this power "flickering" typically varies. I've seen
    it as short as every 10 seconds to ~30hr. Most times it will end up just shutting off for good until I power cycle the Xbox. When this happens the Kinect does not respond to voice commands or gestures, though it will sometimes still be able to control the
    TV channel via the OneGuide app.

    Things I've tried: power cycling both Xbox and Kinect, verifying stable mechanical connection, removing mechanical stress on the cable at both ends, disconnecting and reconnecting Kinect from Xbox, re-running Kinect setup, console updates.

    I have the original, non Day One, Xbox One with Kinect running all the latest software to date. I'm convinced this is a latent hardware issue. Please help!

    Kinect trouble

    my Kinect won't stay connected. Sometimes it won't turn on with xbox and other times it will disconnect in a middle of a game. Any help would be appreciated

    Xbox won't stay on

    Hi, my Xbox will turn on when I press it, the light comes on but then shortly after it turns off. I can't get onto anything and have getting onto the startup menu error place.

    xbox one controller and kinect does not work

    Hi there

    Yeah I've literally tried everything with the controller ( all the troubleshooting steps, moving the console closer and away from other wireless devices including my router and still no luck) the controller won't stay connected even if i hold it a few inches
    away from the console. I cannot use the xbox app for my phone as that too gets dropped from the connection to my console.

    As for my kinect I've again tried all the steps that need to be taken in the guide and still no luck, the console does not stay on instant on and the console is not connected to a surge protector plug as I've read it will cause interference to the device
    (shorting out the power), the light on the kinect comes on and goes off and after a few minutes just stays on but is unresponsive, i go into setting, kinect, what kinect sees and it's a greyed out screen.

    Reasons The Kinect Is Staying

    Don't think kinect will replace a control pad but can deffently enhance it by working with it. Menus will be a thing of the past when you can just talk or use a quick gesture. Time will tell how good it will be but already i can see many useful things can
    be done with kinect.

    There weren't enough good games released for the previous Kinect and that was an optional accessory. I'm not dying to have the new Kinect but I can see the benefits of everybody owning one whether they like it or not. Hopefully some good Kinect-based/enabled
    games will be released in the new gen.
