    My kinect will not power my xbox on, but all of the other voice commands work including the power off command. I disabled Cortana as well. Does this have something to do with it?

    sorry you are having this issue.. Disabling Cortana would cause your issue, since she handles all voice commands now. Try re-enabling Cortana and see if you have the same issues.

    Actually I don't what i just found is that Cortana disables the instant-on option when you enable her(weird saying her lol) but when you disable her it doesn't re-enable this feature. Once you enable instant-on in the Power and startup settings you gain
    the XBox On voice feature again.

    Hi there,

    if you have tried all trouble shooting steps mentioned on these links:

    Then the only option left is to have to Kinect sensor repaired like mentioned on the links. You can set up a repair via
    http://myservice.xbox.com

    The Kinect sensor itself transmits the commands to power the TV and audio systems on and off and because the sensor isn't working they won't be powered on and off.

    Finally bought an Xbox One!!

    I too have this issue with the "Xbox On" command. As you said all of the other voice commands work quite well, but the Xbox On command I have always had a problem with. I have re-configured the kinect, turned the volume up during the refig, re-positioned
    the kinect all to no avail. Because of this, I just keep it on the power saving mode. I'm not sure if some Xbox One consoles are more sensitive than others or if we are doing something wrong during the kinect set-up. Anyhow, I love my Xbox One!
