Kinect won't navigate to SD channels (and a few other issues)

I've been learning the Kinect voice commands and gestures for navigating around my Xbox, but it's got some stupid issues with SD channels.

I have an HD-capable cable box with AT&T U-verse, but I don't subscribe to HD channels (only SD). It's connected to my Xbox over HDMI and the TV app works fine, but Kinect refuses to navigate to SD channels. It was ridiculous that the default setting removed
duplicate SD channels (it took me a while to figure that out), but there's no setting to remove duplicate HD channels even though I don't need them. So at the moment I've got all channels visible, but if I command Xbox to watch a channel (for instance, "Xbox,
Watch TBS") it ALWAYS defaults to the HD channel. I'm not subscribed to the HD channel so I just get a message from AT&T telling me how to subscribe. As far as I'm aware, there's no way to navigate to the SD channel by voice command which completely defeats
the purpose of having voice commands for me. The things I'm hoping someone can answer (or issues that Microsoft really needs to address):

    1. Is there a way to hide the HD channels? It doesn't make sense that I can hide SD but not HD.
    2. Is there a command or setting to make Xbox navigate to the SD version of a channel? Preferably a setting so I can make it default. Right now it'll only go to the SD channel if it's in my favorites, and I'm not about to put several hundred channels in my
favorites just so they'll all navigate correctly.
    3. I know all of the channel numbers, so I tried working around this issue by saying "Xbox, Watch Channel 112" (saying the number as "one-one-two" and "one hundred twelve"). It doesn't recognize the command. This makes no sense since it navigates by channel
number even when I tell it to go the the channel's name (If I say "Watch TBS", I see the numbers 1-1-2-0 come up one at a time on-screen).
    4. I've also tried saying "Channel Up". I figured it would work since
      1. the Xbox controller has this functionality on the D-pad
      2. "Volume Up" is a functional voice command, and
      3. There are voice commands for almost every other button on a standard remote ("Pause", "Fast Forward", "Rewind", "Play", etc.)
Despite this, there's no Channel Up or Down command that I'm aware of.
      • This is important because I have two of many channels – one each for Eastern and Pacific time zones. I typically go back and forth between them depending on what shows are on, but I can't figure out a way to use voice commands to distinguish between the
two. Since I can neither navigate to a channel number nor go up or down a channel using voice commands, I
have to use a controller or remote, which kind of defeats the purpose of having voice commands.
    5. Similarly, I'm not aware of a way to use the controller to change the volume. That's kind of weird to me since there's a voice command for it and the controller can do just about everything else. I mean, really, your voice can change the volume but not
the channel, and the controller can change the channel but not the volume? I feel like I should be able to use whatever control method I want. Instead I'm being forced to use all of them.
Maybe I missed something, maybe these questions have been answered before or maybe Microsoft's already working on a solution. But seriously, I feel like these aren't problems I should be having with a system that Microsoft's trying to sell as a multi-use
    media hub.

    :)

  2. problem with cable channels and voice commands.

I have my cable box connected to the Xbox1. Of course i have HDTV. I have Uverse TV. The HD channel #'s for the networks is the same as the SD channel with a '1' in front of it.

For iinstance, BBC America is: SD: 221 & HD: 1221.

When I tell Kinect to go to "BBC America", it takes me to the SD channel, probably because it comes before the HD channel. Is there a way to solve this? Can you tell Kinect to go to a channel #?

Hey, JEFEM0N! Currently you would have to all of this manually. That being the case, I believe all of your suggestions would be awesome over at our
Feedback site! Head on over there and post this up.
