    Kinect voice commands not working


    I have the new Xbox One and a Kinect. However a number of the voice commands are not working. Saying "Xbox go home" launches Skype. Actually, a whole range of voice commands launch Skype. In Groove, saying "Xbox Next Song" displays a message saying that
    it cannot use the "next song" command here???

    I'm not using Cortana because I'm in Australia and that feature is not enabled.

    Is this stuff just broken, never to be fixed?

    Xbox One "on" command not working?

    Hey so i have my kinect all set up and all the other voice commands are working its just my "on" command is not working? any ideas? I live in australia if that matters.

    Voice commands post NXOE

    Just tried it on my own console and it seems to be working 100%. There's a number of factors that can affect voice command accuracy, with background noise being the biggest cause.

    If you haven't already, try running through the
    voice command troubleshooter    .

    Hey there -

    If you haven't yet, definitely
    calibrate your Kinect sensor     to be sure that it's properly picking up your voice. As far as which commands are available, you'll want to check out the

    Kinect voice commands     page for further information and how-to's.

    So frustrated. Had Xbox One for two years and 2 different Kinect Sensors and the only way to ever get it to work is mute the volume on the TV. Also no noises like kids playing. Not a feature that should have ever been released.

    Turning off voice commands completely

    Voice commands will only work if you have a kinect or a headset. Cortana has to be turned on first before you use her voice commands, and if you do not have a kinect, then the Xbox voice commands will not be turned on.

    Kinect is dead.

    As mentioned, the Kinect voice commands still work just not the Cortana ones. So voice command wise, it will still work the same as it did when it released.

    Unfortunately at this time I don't think there is a voice command to access this menu - at least none that I've found and none are listed on the Kinect Voice Command sheet. Here's a list of current voice commands:
