kinect unplugged error

Hi

So I've had my Xbox One and Kinect for at least 2-3 months now and have never had an issue till today. I switched from TV to the general dashboard and noticed the Kinect unplugged message...

I have tried all the suggested steps but no luck. Before I decide to send it in for replacement, I was wondering if other people have had this issue and if it has sorted itself out with time or something...Is it possible that the recent system update would
cause a software problem like this?

Oh lovely, I just watched my chat hold time jump from 74 minutes to 140 minutes. Joy...

Is anybody else showing that their Kinect is unplugged even though it isn't? If you are, have you contacted Microsoft?

This happened to me as well and after running through all of the available trouble shooting, a repair/replacement was necessary.

Called Support, set up and Advanced Exchange and had a new Kinect sensor a day and a half later, has been working fine ever since.

This actually just happened to me. I know they did some sort of update and I thought that could be the problem. I don't mind sending it in for replacement but seems like the update to me. It was literally just working hours ago and suddenly its not working
any longer.

The timing is coincidental. Mine failed in this way a week and a half after launch on Nov.22nd, a time when the failure could not have been linked to any update.

 

They are sending out a replacement in a few weeks. Then I send the broken one back.
