Discus and support Kinect Turns Off When Watching TV in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; If i am watching TV through the Xbox for a prolonged period of time the Kinect starts to reset itself or something.     Kinect Turns Off When Watching TV


    If i am watching TV through the Xbox for a prolonged period of time the Kinect starts to reset itself or something. I get a message on the screen saying 'Your Kinect Is ready to use' and then options to setup now or cancel. I cannot use the Kinect for voice
    commands at this time and cannot remove the error message as it comes back again a few seconds later if i push cancel.

    Is this faulty units or something that can be resolved?

    Why can't I watch my tv without the xbox one powered on

    Does the xbox one automatically go into power save mode when I'm watching TV? I have my xbox one setup to turn on and off my cable box and tv through kinect commands. I just wonder how much power I'm using when just watching tv?

    kinect hand gestures on/off switch

    If you go to the settings app, there's an option under Kinect to turn off the Kinect, and even 1 specifically while watching TV or videos. Kinect Turns Off When Watching TV ;)

    Hi,

    Have you tried unplugging it from the Xbox One console, unplugging the console from the outlet, wait a couple minutes, plug it back into the console, then plug the console back into the outlet?

    Try the above steps, if you haven't already, and see if that works. If it doesn't, return the forums to let us know.

    Hello Kelsoe,

    Sorry for the issue with the Kinect. Have you tried when watching tv or something to say stop listening. As there are many cue words that will turn it on. If you are watching movie you can go into setting turn the Kinect off.

    My ambient light sensor is off, as is my kinect and the xbox still sends my screen dark randomly while I am watching TV. I find that it does so when I am not in view of the kinect. That scares me if I have turned off my kinect. Is it really off? Are
