    Microsoft Kinect does not work with the Microsoft tuner

    Hi,

    At X-mas I bought an Xbox one with Kinect, tuner and remote for my son.

    Now it turns out that Kinect is not compatible with the tuner.



    Kinect requires the language of the Xbox to be set to English, fine, but it also changes the region to US/US (why??).

    Having an Xbox with region set to UK/US makes breaks the tuner (I live in Sweden).

    I.e. IF I set my Xbox as “Swedish” I can use my tuner but to use Kinect it has to be set to US/UK region.



    Why is it like this? Region and language has been separated since Windows 3.0…

    if you have a smartphone you have a card already.

    1. google search XBOX 360 kinect tuner card, select images, download an image of high res.

    2. make sure your accelerometer is on (the option that allows you to view pics/videos up and down as well and sideways)

    and select the image and view in your preferred picture viewer.

    3. collaborate your xbox tuner and tell it you have a card and use your phone/tablet as the card...DONE

    cannot seem to get 5.1 audio (speakers) on mw3

    also just tested kinect tuner audio which has 5.1 and it worked perfectly!

    I see a lot of problems with YouTube, AVS forum, here and elsewhere where folks complain about wrong channel numbers or no dashes getting input to the HomeWorx HW-150. I had the same problem and fixed it by moving the tuner right under the Kinect. My Kinect
    wasn't able to see the tuner well enough to send the IR signal...If you have problems like this, move your tuner closer to your Kinect...

    HDMI in was definitely a good idea and the Xbox team should be commended on that one...They obviously have problems in other areas, but this was a good addition...

    Put the kinect on top of the tv is my sugestion. I have a crown kinecty tv mount and it works ok also you can enter the kinect tuner and manually adjust the kinect angle
