    Kinect stopped working?


    I got a new Xbox One S and the free adapter from Microsoft for the Kinect sensor and now my Kinect isn't working at all. It was acting a little odd not long after I hooked it up but now it doesn't work at all. I tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting,
    but nothing helped. Anyone else having this issue with Kinect?

    I don't have my original Xbox one. My fiancé has than one. I only have the Xbox One S. But Kinect was working fine with my original Xbox One while I had it. When I first got the adapter for the S model, it worked fine for awhile. It started to act up
    about a week or two after having it all set up. Thanks for your reply.

    Ok, I got some good news about this issue. I called Xbox support and we went through a few steps and the technician determined that because I had the Kinect adapter plugged into a surge protector, it caused the issue with the adapter. I plugged the adapter
    into the wall plug directly and it solved the problem. He said there is a surge protector in the adapter power supply and it causes an issue when its plugged into another surge protector. Hope this helps anyone else that's having this issue.
