kinect signing wrong person in

My Kinect worked flawless when I first got it, but somewhere along the way after one of the updates it just signs people in no matter who walks in the room. Is there some way to fine tune this? I'd like to remove it but my kids still play just dance sometimes.

Kinect signing in the wrong people

I believe you can keep training it. If you bring up the sign in screen when someone is signed in incorrectly, there is an option to say you weren't recognised. It then adds recognition data to that profile. In theory, it should be improving every time you do this.

Xbox One Without Kinect

I just tried signing on Xbox without the Kinect. You're wrong. It doesn't work and you do need it for the Xbox to work.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't work you should contact support to see if they have additional information about the issue. Contact Us | Xbox Support

@jmarks you know that in each persons profile settings under sign in you can say no to Kinect sign in for each specific person. Just make it yourself that signs in auto with kinect.

Sorry but the chat feature for the Kinect will only work when one person is signed in. If another person signs in the feature will not function and both people will need to use headsets.

Doesn't the new Kinect have voice recognition as well? So if one person signs in by saying "Xbox on", the Kinect will only respond to their voice commands?

Have you updated the controller with the mic in yet? I would have this problem occasionally when I powered up the console with the controller away from the Kinect (Kinect and console are not close to each other.); the solution is to point the controller
towards the Kinect, hit the home button, sign-in, then choose this person. If your already signed in just "choose this person" again. It has never failed.
