    Kinect Sign-In State Issues


    I wasn't sure whether to post this on the DH forums since the final update is near and the game is in transition to a new developer. If the Kinect sign-in is activated while playing the game, others that may randomly pass in view of the camera will be signed
    in and the game will automatically return to the start screen. This can randomly delete the affected player's save data. Is a patch still in the works to fix this issue? The only workaround is to turn off Kinect sign-in until such a fix has been implemented.
    I have lost my progress in this manner prior to the first game patch and my brother lost his progress last week after the fix for Spinal and the Jail System.

    Kinect Voice Controls - Getting worse as time goes by?

    Another issue we have is that my eldest who is 5 has a silver account and likes to play zoo tycoon. When he enters the room the kinect recognises him and signs him in. Great apart from it also signs him in if his brother who is 3 enters the room. Hardly cutting edge..

    Just to clarify, are you having trouble signing in to your Xbox One and your Kinect is plugged in?

    To get this issue sorted, I recommend checking out our Troubleshooting Kinect sign-in page.

    If it is stated as "Kinect", a Kinect is required. If it is stated as "Better with Kinect", a Kinect is not required.

    Just an side note, if I remember correctly prior to Kinect being released and it was still referred to as Project NATAL I could have sworn it was to be Designed to play with either a Controller or Kinect for all Games designed with Kinect in mind? I might be
    wrong on that but I was pretty sure that was the Marketing stated on it.

    Kinect keeps turning on and off

    It appears that there is an intermittent Kinect driver issue, which turns it on, off and calibrates it. Yesterday I found there was a problem of Kinect sign in, giving me a code 0x80a40008, but also noticed there was an issue of the Kinect working properly.
    I did a hard reset, and factory reset, but when I did a factory reset, the Kinect refused to calibrate before I entered my sign in information (it should calibrate the Kinect before the sign in info is entered, not after). I redid the factory reset which then
    it calibrated the Kinect before I entered my sign in info.

    With the Kinect drivers, it turns it on through software (not hardware switching) as well as overall function of it. Persistent cashe might be part of the problem, where the cashe is overloading the driver function, but I think the driver in the Kinect might
    be the sole source of the problem, where the drivers in the console and in the Kinect don't communicate well. Might need a revision of the driver software in both the Kinect and console to resolve the problem.

    Have you tried switching controllers, and then resigning in? By this I mean:

    While signed in, just go into the sign in area, and tell it to sign you in again. I've had an issue where the Kinect occasionally loses track of me, and this seems to fix the issue. I'm guessing this is a similar case where the Kinect loses track, due to
    it also tracking controllers.

    This is of course, if you have the Kinect. Try this, and then check back, then we'll move from there.

    UPDATE: Since i have turned off the option for kinect to sign me in, ie just sign in, this issue has not returned.
