Kinect Sign In Recognition

I have my Xbox one Kinect set to recognize me. It always worked well and said "Hi Jeff" when it signed on. The last week something or someone changed this outside of my home because nobody else uses my machine.

It now has changed my name to "The Guardian" and calls me that when I sign in. I went to the profile editing here on the website and changed it from "Jeff" to another name but that made no difference.

Do you know what has occured?

On my Home screen above my gamertag it also says "The Guardian" I tried to edit my bio and motto from the home screen setting and cannot find anywhere to do this anymore.

How are you signing in to your console when you turn it on?

• Kinect facial recognition?
• Kinect voice sign in?
• Controller sign in?

 

Gamertag Automatic Sign In

Is there a way to make a main gamertag automatically sign in. I know kinect has its recognition to sign in, but is there a way to have a particular gamertag sign in by default as it was on the 360? Without kinect recognition, i have to choose the gamertag
(I have only one on the console) everytime I turn on the system.

 

Hola RUSH3RCR ! Try changing your name , I suggest to change the password for security because what you said is not normal .

I really don't want to change my gamertag. I changed my name here on this site for my profile but "My Guardian" is not the name that was stated here. It was "Jeff" and I did change it to something else with no change on my One. I will change my Microsoft
account password and proofs just in case. Thanks. If any others have this issue post it here so we can maybe find out the reason for this. How do you change this motto and bio info on the One? On the 360 it was in settings.

 

He didn't mean to change your Gamertag.

Can you log into
https://account.live.com and edit your display name? It should be under one of the tabs to the left. That should then propagate across to the console.

 

This worked. "My Guardian" was listed as my name on my Microsoft Account for some strange reason. I wonder if my Windows phone or XBOX music account or credit cards could have given someone access. I changed my password and name.

Log in at
https://commerce.microsoft.com and just check that there have been no fraudulent purchases on the account (just in case there was any unauthorised access), and if not you should be okay from now on.

If there have been, you'll want to contact
Phone Support. They would be able to help in setting up an unauthorised access claim.
