Kinect Sesame Street TV

I have received this message via Live:

"Kinect Sesame Street TV ist nicht mehr im Xbox Store verfügbar und das Streaming von Inhalten ist deaktiviert. Kunden können Kinect Sesame Street TV weiterhin spielen und den Inhalt nutzen, den sie bereits heruntergeladen und gespeichert haben."

which tells me Kinect Sesame Street TV is no longer available and I can only use it if I have downloaded and saved the content (episodes).

I wonder why this is the case with this game? Usually, content that has been purchased can always be accessed and downloaded again later (even if it has been removed from the marketplace) because it has been purchased. Why is this not possible with
this game? I feel a bit cheated because I used the streaming for this game in the past so my HDD wouldn't fill up and now I can't access it at all anymore although I have paid for it.

Can't you just put up the episodes for download for accounts that have purchased/paid for it just like you do for other games/content?

(Granted, I am not sure if you'll find information about this game on my account history as I probably had used another profile on my console to pay for it - so this is meant to be a general hint and I'm most likely not the only one who's been blocked
from accessing this now albeit having paid for it)

maybe if you could have been a bit more up front about your plans when you started the process at the end of last year rather than leaving me going back and forth with the call centre and @XboxSupport teams since then as neither of them knew what was going
on then I might be able to be understanding, but as it is the whole thing stinks

 

More than likely this is due to rights issues. Xbox does not own the rights to Sesame Street or it's characters. It's possible that those rights were rescinded which means that no one will be able to stream the content anymore.

 

To me, it sounds likely that the licensing agreement expired so they can no longer offer the content, but that's my speculation.

If as you say you have only streamed episodes, then it is unlikely that you "own" them, whereas if you had downloaded you may very well be able to re-download, but I'm not entirely sure how the Kinect Sesame Street TV app works.

You could of course add this suggestion to the Feedback site, to let them know that you would like this ability to re-acquire owned content:
