Kinect Sesame Street TV SmartGlass

This function has never functioned correctly from the start it seems. However when Win8 was released some people were actually able to get the achievements to unlock for them. I didn't have Win8 but I do have Win10 currently and the SmartGlass app is once
again not working whatsoever. Is there any chance this will ever be fixed or should I just forget about it?

Kinect Sesame Street TV - SmartGlass issue

Hey Joust,

It is frustrating. Although last night, a friend of mine who has similar problems with the game's SmartGlass achievements said she unlocked the playlist achievement by just playing a random clip (through SmartGlass of course). So that is what I did, and I did
unlock the achievement. So 2 down, 1 to go.

Now to answer your questions, the picture's auto-saving is indeed enabled in the options. My iOS version is 7.0.3, no pending updates, and I don't have any other SmartGlass-capable devices I could use (my Dad has an iPad, but it's the same exact model). I can
try and see if I can borrow someone else's device at some point.

Having the same problem. Also season 2 is unavailable. MS really needs to fix this game.

 

Microsoft ditched SmartGlass in favour of the new Windows 10 Xbox app. That being said, having your Windows account tied to SmartGlass and Windows 8/.1 cause the app not to function. I'm suspecting it has something to do with the App running in the BG, and
not letting any other instances connect to SmartGlass.

 

So everyone is just outta luck in regards to this ever working again then?

 

Hey, guys! SmartGlass is still an app that we support and are more than happy to help you guys get sorted out.

I'd like some clarification here first. Can you explain what exactly is not working? Are you able to sign in at all? Are you getting any errors?

Once we have that information, we can start from there.

As for Season 2 of Kinect Sesame Street issue, we are aware of the situation, however we have no information to provide at this time. Once we do, we will post back in here for you guys about that specifically. Thanks!

 

On both phone and PC (Win10) it will continuously try to load while a message shows "There's a problem starting this experience". It works just fine moving around everywhere else; it's just this particular game as far as I can tell.

 

Thanks, Tater! I want to make sure I'm understanding what you're doing here. Apologies for the redundancy, but I'm going to lay out steps that so I can make sure I've got what you're saying here.

• You launch up Kinect Sesame Street on the 360.
• You try to connect to your console via SmartGlass on your phone or PC.
• It throws the error you're seeing.

If that's correct, can you tell me what type of phone you're using, please, and the OS on it? If I got anything wrong here, I want to make sure that you correct me.

 

Yes, as soon as I try to have smart glass communicate to the game it shows that message.

I'm using an iPhone 5 but have tried an iPad as well as iPhone 4 and none have worked.

 

Thank you for clarifying! And what OS do you have on all of those? You should be able to find that by going into the Settings menu.

 

iPhone 5 = 9.0

iPad = 9.0

iPod = 9.0

PC = WIN10

I don't have the iPhone 4 anymore.

Hey, Tater! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was still working with the teams for an update on the Smartglass portion of this.

This game was officially decommissioned on October 12th, and we've made an announcement
here. The ability to connect via Smartglass has been affected, and users will not be able to connect to Kinect Sesame Street because of this. Content streaming for this game has also been disabled.
